An independent traditional synagogue
Chatham Memorial Synagogue, built in 1869, is located in the historic city of Rochester on the River Medway in the county of Kent, South East England. The synagogue was built by Simon Magnus in memory of hs son Lazarus. It is on the site of an older eighteenth century synagogue.
We are an Independent Traditional Synagogue which aims to provide a place of worship for Jews of all backgrounds and a place of education for those who are Jewish or who are interested in learning about the Jewish Religion. Our community is at the foreforont of Inter-Faith relations.
