The shop owner is very helpful. Some amazing bargains to be found here. I bought a bass for £250 that plays. Feels and sounds like an USA made fender p bass! I also played their own brand chase guitar amps in store and they sound great for fraction of the cost of the well known brands.
I blew into the Northern Quarter earlier today in an unusual predicament. I had just run 17k into town, and found myself sweaty and exhausted and in urgent need of a harmonica. A friend of mine was due to participate in a talent show later this evening, but found himself tragically harmonica-less. As I'm sure you can imagine, this would severely disrupt his plans to perform harmonica beatboxing and potentially wow an audience of capitated onlookers. As soon as I entered Chase, I was greeted warmly by Amrik - a man of poise and intellect with a well maintained bushel of facial hair situated around his polite grin. Undeterred by a man bursting into his music shop out of breath and drenched in sweat and demanding a harmonica, Amrik remained an oasis of calm. A tranquil stream of pure good vibes, if you will. I explained my predicament and he assured me that he could readily cater to my needs. In no time at all I had paid him an entirely reasonable sum and was walking out of the door with a new harmonica. Now, my friend can perform at the talent show, safe in the knowledge that when times get tight and all hope seems lost, people like Amrik at Chase Direct are always there to have your back. Maybe everything will turn out alright after all. 5 stars. Great little music shop.
Boss man was very friendly & helpful and let us try out a couple of the guitars. He helped me choose a very nice tanglewood which I enjoyed playing. Would visit again for future purchases!
This is not a big shop, but to a non musician, it seems well stocked. Why the 5 star rating, because the owner is a lovely man, sharing his knowledge, experience, and wisdom freely. Such a nice man.

After browsing through various digital pianos and looking online at reviews, I was shocked to find that the one that fit me the best was one of Chase Direct's own, P-51 from the upstairs piano room. I guess I was somewhat wary of buying a piano that wasn't one of the major brands, but after playing it for about 20 mins I knew I had my pick. Amrik gave me a pretty good deal for it - stand, pedal, bench and transport included for £350, which isn't a price I've seen anywhere else for this kinda thing. He delivered the whole set himself, on a Sunday evening, in the rain, which feels like real commitment if I've ever seen it. Two months in, I couldn't be happier with it, everything's working perfectly, sound is amazing, hoping it'll last! And I even went back to Forsyth's at one point to try the pianos, and none of them out of the reasonably priced ones had keys as nice as this one. Chase Direct, gotta hand it to you. Be sure to stop by, you will enjoy the shop and service as much as the instruments.

This is a great local shop in the heart of town! They've always had what I've needed and been very helpful and understanding with their advice. Some music shops don't feel musical to me but this one certainly does! Highly recommend.

My friend and I went in to ask about an old, slightly broken cassette player I bought from a charity shop. Amrik was beyond helpful and tried everything possible to get the thing to work, and it did in the end! Would recommend coming here to buy musical or even just to enquire about a piece of musical equipment. Thank you Amrik!
