The place was amazing, it was one of those places that you fall in love, the service was great, the staff were very friendly however the food wasnt great, small portions, werent served hot and the food came out so quickly it felt like mcdonalds Kid-friendliness: They had kids menu and coloring pages
We had our Golden Anniversary there in private room at back great area for family etc . The restaurant is well run and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also has a bar next-door. I would recommend and will be going back. Kid-friendliness: Our kids had plenty of room
Before leaving Edinburgh we searched for some nice place to eat and found this one. Staff was polite and welcoming given that we didn't book a table beforehand. I was surprised to read some negative one-star feedback here. Our experience was really great. Perhaps, because only a third of tables were occupied but our food came very fast and was really delicious. Both buttered haddoc and smoked Scottish salmon were some of the best we have had. Well done and thank you very much!
We stopped by for a late lunch today. On arrival we waited about 5 minutes before someone came to greet us and seat us we didn't have a booking tbf once seated our waiter brought over menus and took our drinks order. We then order food which consisted of bruschetta and olives. Olives were really quite soft but the bruschetta was beautiful. Our mains were chicken ceasar salad and chicken & chorizo pasta. The anchovies were quite salty but apart from that was ok. The pasta sauce tasted like it had been made with a tin of mixed vegetable soup and some chopped olives and peas thrown in. It wasn't the best however we were super hungry so devoured it. I think it's a bit pricey for average food.
Went there for a hen do but it was in a privet room not in the Main restaurant which is actually a lot better looking. The food was ok nothing special.
Greeted by very helpful server Patricia who helped us choose a table more suitable for my mobility aids and more private. Meal was very fresh apart from the prawn cocktail which appeared recently defrosted with no lettuce. Just runny sauce and lots of rubbery prawns. The rest of the food was excellent though.
Had dinner here on Friday night. Arrived early, however the staff managed to get us seated which was really nice. French martinis were good and freshly made, steak was amazing with good quality beef. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, we will be backFood: 5/5
Food came out far too quick, as if it had been sitting waiting under a heat lamp. Plenty staff about. Prices getting a big higher end than the venue & food produced is. Main issue was paying. Before handing card machine over, waiter asked if we'd like to leave a tip! Really unexpected to be asked. Next time hand the card machine over and let me decide to myself
Booked and visited on Mother's Day. Poor and slow service . Management was overwhelmed and unable to organise waiting and kitchen staff effectively. The service was very slow, I think due to the kitchen being unable to cope with the numbers of clients who had reserved their lunch beforehand. Effectively the management had allowed too many tables to be booked for the staff employed. To add insult to injury, the management asked us to leave as there were others booked in for our table after 2 hours. We could have left earlier if service had been normal.
We went there for the first time yesterday. We had a late lunch . I went for the Tex Mex burger and the husband for some pasta with mushrooms & ham. We had a starter, main and coffees and paid about £40 for the table. The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is spacious and a great option for lunch while social distancing in these times of COVID. It is also a family-friendly restaurant which is good to know. We will come back
