Called in for a lunch pickup order, ready in six minutes in an overfilled box of freshly fried goodness. Chips were perfectly cooked with that crisp outside and fluffy inside without any dryness- huge portion as well. Fish and shrimp combo had a good balance of seasoning and great texture too. Friendly guy at the counter, quick in and out for great comfort food!

They have the best fried fish in WLA. I always get the 9 piece red snapper special that comes with fries, salad, hush puppies and a dinner roll. The pieces of fish are thick and meaty. The fish is fresh and this seasoning is delicious. I'm never disappointed.
This is my second visit. On the first visit the fish was under cooked. I called them and they agreed to replace it, but the miles to get there wasn't worth the trip. And again on the second visit fish was undercooked. Not a lot of flavor to food. I gave it two chances I won't go back. The guy behind the counter was totally courteous though.

This place is off the chain delicious We were in town for a Lakers game and wanted some fish and shrimps. Service was friendly, and food had large portions, we got a 5 piece and ate off it for 2 days...Food: 5/5
A great place to grab a quick bite of crispy, classic, as the name says, fish & chips. One of the superb ones and a rare gem to feed yourself some of the best fish & chips you can find in LA.
Wow! Just wow! YES, you should get food from Charlie’s. We ordered orange roughy, red snapper, whitefish, shrimp, and chicken wings. The only thing that was off was the skin was on the whitefish and that gave it a strong flavor, but it was easy to remedy. The red snapper was phenomenal, and the shrimp was great. AND the chicken wings are fantastic. They served so much food the boxes wouldn’t even close. There’s not much for seating, so to-go orders are best. And they cook it fresh to order, so call ahead. In all honestly the curb appeal isn’t great, but the food is.
The best fresh jumbo shrimp in Los Angeles. I’ve known this place for ten years and nothing has changed. Still delicious. The hot sauce and tartar sauce on top of it all % yes lol
