Leah was absolutely amazing with my little boy who had never had a hair cut. He was scared coming in and she explained everything to him showed him what she would be using and he loved that and calmed down. She understood his curly hair and cut it beautifully. All of the staff were welcoming and smiling when we walked in. 100% coming back thank you so much Leah

I had a wash, cut and blow dry by Leah, and wow! I feel like a new woman. Best bangs I've ever had, they frame my face perfectly, my hair is silky soft, and Leah is great to chat with, overall a wonderful experience! Definitely recommend.

Haven't had my hair cut for ages so it was rather straggly. Tim has worked wonders on it and curled it for me too, ready for the Xmas party tonight! I'm always nervous of going to the hairdresser but I felt at ease, he was lovely. He did as I asked, didn't cut to much off. Will defo be going back to see him again.

Lovely place, very friendly especially Leah who does my hair. She listens and advices for the best cut or colour. Definitely recommend this place

I booked an appointment with Charley’s which was changed by text message because of sickness. I couldn’t reply to the text to confirm either way. I then had confirmation of my original appointment. Confused I phoned Charley’s hairdressers to discover that they are closed anyway on the day they booked my appointment. I’m too busy to be bothered with such unprofessionalism. Lovely salon and very professional! The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I came here having had a bad haircut previously elsewhere and Tim did an amazing job with my hair and styled it exactly how I wanted it. The highlights are also gorgeous and a lovely colour. Love this hairdressers in Barnstaple. I've used at least 4 different stylists in there over the years and all are excellent. I'm a regular client and have my hair permed  coloured and cut here. I can honestly say it's the best perm I've had for years, thanks Tim.

Always treated like a VIP, nothings too much trouble... Staff all very friendly, lovely and easy to get on with. Newly updated wash area, massage chairs whilst having hair washed, makes it even more of a pleasurable experience. Well done Sandy and her team at Charleys, Excellent service all round

I went in for a dry cut with a senior staff member, Marie. The atmosphere was lovely in the shop and I had a lovely younger member offer me tea and made me feel very welcome. However, this was the worst haircut I have ever had. I have fairly damaged hair so I warned my hairdresser of this. She began the cut and left multiple times due to a colour job she was doing on another customer which is fine as I understand sometimes colour jobs take longer than expected. However she rushed my hair cut so much that when trimming my layers she pulled a hefty amount of my hair out. Instead of gently working through the hair she pulled and yanked my hair. Not only was my scalp in a lot of pain. But she managed to pull a lot of my hair out. I’ve never been treated so poorly. After the appointment she rushed me out the door she cut my hair in less than 20 minutes. Considering this was a professional hairdresser I am very disappointed.
