This is our 6th year on coming here to Charlesworth lodges it's so peaceful. We come for a week once a year. Hottubs are brilliant. Just think the older lodges could do with a revamp springs coming through on sofa not comfy at all ,kithen cupboards vinil peeling off .Nice clean site hottubs get looked at every day the owner Emma so friendly
We have just spent the New year break in the Amour Deluxe lodge.nFirstly getting to the lodge is interesting with the small track leading down to the park, thankfully we didn't meet anyone coming the other way.nThe park is beautiful and well kept.nParking next to the lodge is always good.nThe lodge is very spacious and well equipped.nThe bedroom was very big not like other places we have stayed in, bath tub in the bedroom was a nice touch, except the hot water was not hot enough to enjoy a bath. After looking at the boiler a sign tells you not to touch the settings.nThe hot tub isn't under cover so due to the weather it was unusable.nComfortable bed. The small boudoir room was just missing whip's and chains. But the rug is comfy.nNegative feedback is stop with the signs around the lodge, especially the one near the kitchen bin.nWould we go again... Nice location but probably not.
All I can say is wow was absolutely amazing and so quiet. We stayed in amour 1 and it was spotless and the hottub was lovely. Can't fault it 1 bit.
They have a long private drive along a hillside, which is a single road. Not for the faint hearted especially at night. A few people may be caught out badly as there is no passing space, so it's a long reverse for someone, the hedging also almost touches both sides of your car, almost. Says WiFi but none working. Disclaimer on site saying signal is very poor / inadequate because rural area. I'm really disappointed not to get Netflix. Even a real struggle to get a signal on my phone on site, connection very, very faint. I'm not sure if every lodge is badly affected, but assume so given there's a note in the welcome pack. We only booked as stated with WiFi, so we feel properly cheated as we passed up many other sites because they had said up front no WiFi.
Charlesworth Lodges are a small group of Lodges near Glossop. My partner and I stayed here in May and our lodge was quite possibly one of the nicest Lodges we have been to we have tried quite a few My only worry was the road down to the lodges was very narrow and I dreaded to meet a car on the way in and out. The hot tub was perfect, the bed comfy, the whole location was beautiful. Because it is only a small park it is lovely and peaceful. Had a lovely chilled time away, thank you Charlesworth Lodges! We hope to come back in the future.
