This bistro is often overlooked as it is connected to the Hilton Hotel and may be missed from the street level. If you enjoy wide open spaces, a wonderfully inclusive menu Conor shared vegan friendly meals with our family! He gets another 5 stars!, gorgeously clean tables and a warm, NYC vibe, please stop in. A terrific visit for dinner, completely unplanned. I feel silly for not stopping in before! I would take my friends for cocktails or a meal when we really want to enjoy each other's conversation. Thank you for the lovely experience to the Bar Manager and Conor!
We came for dinner at 9pm… The music, the entertainment, was amazing, the lady had a voice of an angel and the guitar player, also a great singer… Dexter, our server was amazing as well, great at what he does… The menu offered a Slow Braised Aubergine Greek Style, filled with confit chili & shallots, glazed halloumi on a tomato Provençal and olive oil potato terrine… I got the half eggplant on a tomato from a can, with some shallots and Parmesan cheese on top… The potato terrine was good… Sadly, I didn’t get what was on the menu…
Had a great few evenings at the Charlemont Bar & Bistro, very friendly staff and pleasant venue, and amazing live music on fridays and saturdays evening. Highly recommend !
A nice alternative if you're in the neighbourhood, whether you're in the mood for a casual business lunch, a solo dinner, etc. Prices are a bit higher than a pub, but the environment is also commensurately upscale. With a hectic business schedule I ate here several times while staying at the adjacent Charlemont Hilton hotel, and wasn't disappointed. The young staff are also international and attentive.
I was expecting a better service. No one came to take our order after seating us. Had to go to the bar. Waiting staff avoiding eye contact.
Food as miserable as the hotel. Also avoid. At all cost.
Amazing staff
I've been to this bar for having a pint about several times and it's a fabulous bar. The pint is great as well.Food: 4/5
