Had an amazing experience today at Charbonnel et Walker in canary wharf mall. The staff is so helpful especially Jannette which was so patient and professional with me . She made discover some new chocolate I've never tried before and made me buy a bunch of it for my family back home. Would definitely recommend this branch .
Established in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is Britain's first luxury chocolatier. Encouraged by Edward VII, then the Prince of Wales Madame Charbonnel, known for making fine chocolates in Paris, was introduced to Mrs. Walker from London. The unique Chocolat Charbonnel recipe was created in 1875 by Madame Charbonnel and is still considered as one of the finest drinking chocolates today. Made using our exquisite chocolate flakes, this drink was traditionally made in English chocolate houses with a mixture of chocolate and water only. In 1875, Madame Charbonnel was introduced to Mrs. Walker. Mrs Walker created the most beautiful gift boxes whilst Madame Charbonnel filled each one with a truly mouth –watering array of delicious chocolates.
One of my favorite chocolate shops in London for chocolate truffles for me or for a variety of chocolate gifts. I always have their hot chocolate on hand at home and I love their dark chocolate sea salt truffles so much. If you want excellent chocolate, Charbonnel et Walker is one of the best placed to get it in London!
Quite a nice shop - offering you different sorts of luxury chocolates, with prices ranging between 13 and 100 pounds for a box.
Visited the store in January. Found several boxes of chocolates over a month out of date. Pointed these out to sales assistant, who started to remove them. Then looked at loose chocolate selection and several of the dark were going white due to age or temperature control. Others had not been rotated, with the old stock sat on top of the new. I wrote to the customer service department to make them aware and followed up a few days later. They failed to respond, which to me demonstrates a lack of care.
I recently went to Charbonnel et Walker Canary Wharf to buy a special present for my husband's 75th birthday. The experience was perfect in every way, thanks to superb attention by a young man salesman, Michele. I chose the chocolates to go in a very beautiful box with a stunning design of gold and navy geometric shapes against a light pink background, looking like a mosaic. Michele was excellent at describing the chocolates and I got to sample some. Their chocolates are the best I've ever had. My husband and I have often bought them for special occasions. After this great experience at C&W Canary Wharf, I'm going to buy them for ordinary occasions as well.
I did my research before I went and was greeted by a highly professional gentleman by the name of Michele. His vast knowledge on the products on sale plus his ability to read what I wanted proved he has excellent customer service skills and a great salesman. I then had the pleasure to get advice from his colleague Maverick who also has vast knowledge on products and superb sales and customer service skills. After purchasing what I wanted I will definitely be back next month for the fruit jellies ..a bucket full please gentlemen. Congratulations to you both Michele and Maverick and I hope management appreciate your fantastic work .
Like their pink champagne truffles! Battalion suggestions: provide more unique flavours, dark chocolates which are healthier n make chocolates less sweet
Chocolates are so average, prices are so high. Service is good.
The best chocolate in the world,they said the money not make the people happy .... but the Chocolate YES,the people are working there, are so friendly, they help you to choose the right thing, for the right moment. BIG BIG Thank to Eden and Michele, THANKS Food: 5/5
