First time last night, thought I'd try after always heard good things from people. And usually go for partners birthday meal into London and pick a Michelin restaurant. I have to say the food & service was excellent Karolina was very helpful. Didn't feel rushed, some restaurants do. Better than some Michelin star restaurants I've been too and the food and value for money was worth it would definitely visit again.
Decent food and service. Yorkshire puds looks huge but were a bit too crispy and thin for my liking. Overall nice experience and enough parking too. Chapter one has a 4 out of 5 food hygiene rating, dated October 2021
We were invited to a birthday party in the upstairs private room. Very attentive and cordial staff. Yummy hors d'oeuvres Very good set menu. Wine glass was always full. Be aware that guests will need to be able to climb 2 flights of stairs for the private dining room as there's no elevator.Food: 4/5
The atmosphere was very nice. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. 11/10 would rinse my life savings there again.
5 star for everything! Maybe a little bit pricey for the size of the portions! 3 courses cost £70 that's with no drinks and including service charge. Baring in mind I had the vegetarian option which for that price sounds crazy! Otherwise food and service was really good, and a lovely atmosphere! Vegetarian options: See photos! I had aubergine! Parking: I parked easily, not sure if its hard to park when it's busier!
Really nice experience in such a nice part of outer london. Great decor and cleanliness but the service was really something else! professinal waiters with a really nice sense of humour and totally made you feel welcome. The food was really fantastic tried a bunch of things id normally never ever order and the dishes i was served showed what nice ingredients they can be when cooked well. Also .. the breads were really something special.

Fancy restaurant which is not too expensive, £55 for a 3 course meal is pretty good and the portion sizes are just right.Food: 5/5
Fantastic service, food and drink. The cocktails were superb, with a little theatre added which was fun. Food, albeit a little small on the portion sizes, was excellent, well cooked and well seasoned. The service was second to none. Our Sicilian waiter I apologise for not remembering your name sir was incredibly attentive. Nothing was a problem, he was prompt, always on hand, polite and friendly. We enjoyed a laugh when he was serving our table and had a chat when he was able. Top notch review for a top notch restaurant, the staff deserve every tip they receive. Parking: Plenty of parking in the restaurant's private car park.
We visited Chapter 1 for my wife's birthday. A party of 6. What can I say they did not disappoint the food was lovely, desert was heaven we all enjoyed it. They presented my wife with a little cake and allowed me to arrange for a florist to deliver flowers. There was a little question around soggy batter, but all in all a fantastic time. Our server, who's name escapes me was great and up for some banter with our party. Cost wise I was quite happy with our bill. We would go again. Too busy eating to take pictures I'm afraid. A huge thank you to the team for a brill afternoon. Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from. Kid-friendliness: Kids I think are allowed in the brasserie but not the a la carte section, which is fair enough. Parking: Plenty of parking outside.
