Travelled to Armagh from Belfast to get my car MOT as were no spots in Belfast until February. Came across Chapman s by accident...absolutely beautiful food, staff are very nice. We will now be regular customers driving from Belfast. Lovely family business. no
So disappointed in the service today. I am a regular here and I always have to queue which is completely understandable and fine because the place is so busy I never ever have an issue having to queue. I know it’s a small cafe and lots of seating is for two people only, I tried to come for lunch today with my two elderly grandparents. We were told would be a 15 minute wait and we ended up still waiting to be seated 30 minutes later, there were no seats for us too sit on to even wait and we then had to leave as it was too much to have two elderly people having to stand for nearly 30 minutes. They took countless couples I think I counted 4 or 5 and instead of combinging two tables together people who just arrived were still taken in front of us. Very bad service and organisation, even a group of seven was taken in front of us. While I was waiting customers behind me pushed into me multiple times trying to push in front and jump the queue. I shop here regularly and use the cafe regularly but I really don’t think I’ll be back, such a shame as I am a regular and the food in both shop and cafe are wonderful.
Lovely shop, well laid out, great selection of amazing food and fabulous staff - Ruth especially, a great ambassador for Chapmans. Might feel expensive until you taste the food....then it's so worth it.
What a little gem! Lovely friendly helpful staff. Very well laid out, great menu. We got a booth. I tried the carrot, apple and ginger fresh juice- very zingy and uplifting. I ordered the chicken stack meal- it was divine. Good sized portion of creamy mash, delectable chicken alternated with thick slice of good bacon topped with 2 big onion rings and fresh peppercorn sauce. My mum had the baked potato cheddar bacon and salad. Very filling, no room for dessert! So we will definitely be back to try more of the menu and sweet.
Wow what an experience cafe is tremendous what a varied range from a truly beautiful menu. Unfortunately was only in for morning coffee which was a delight and the warm scone was awesome just perfect for eating. Fully intend to come again to try the cooked breakfast. Worth noting is how attentive the staff were which all adds to the visit.
Best beetroot and goats cheese salad I’ve eaten. So glad it wasn’t smothered in raw red onion, instead beautifully pickled ones and a very tasty dressing. Fellow diner had cod & chips. Former delicious, latter a bit cold and hard. Staff very pleasant. Ambience let down by unpleasantly loud music not great if you’re hard of hearing and temperature- aircon too cold.
Breakfast in the Little Gem Cafe is excellent; i highly recommend the French Toast. The selection of fresh food and grocery items cannot be understated.
Great food fantastic service, great little shop the cheese is fabulous
Visited Chapman's Restaurant today. For a first visit I was disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and although the salad was good the chicken was tough, so tough I ate very little of it. Serves was good and pleasant. The restaurant was very busy but rather cramped for comfort. The two stars does not reflect on the srving staff but the quality of my meal.
Food in the restaurant wast amazing, so fresh and full of flavour. Fast and friendly service
