Gorgeous building. Lovely staff! So friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly venue with freshly baked dog treats available. Scones were delicious and warm. Lovely thick gooey cream. Great coffee. Lovely cream tea. Added bonus- the view just up from the cafe is just stunning
The best Cafe ever, we have every day Cornish Cream Tea, lovley friendly Team! And you meet always nice guests what the Doc not likes the pictures with the dog is Taffy he is the new star Captain Pickles And thank you for the sharpie The germans...
Lovely dine in experience during our visit to Port Issac. Set in the old Chapel, shared with Cornish gift shop items in the perimeter isles and upstairs balcony. Some items raising monies for RNLI . Cafe only opened with new owners in 2022 but you'd never know as service and smiles delivered in abundance. Reasonably priced and well tasty feshly prepared food was had. Must tries also were the deluxe hot chocolate even in hot weather! and fully customisable shakes. Delicious
What a wonderful find ! On an afternoon out in Port Isaac we decided to go to the Chapel Cafe for something to eat. We also had our dog with us. The owner couldn't do enough for us and even gave our dog some treats. This place is spot on when it comes to a dog friendly cafe - there are small shopping areas inside geared towards our K9 friends, there is a pile of doggy beds at the side of the room for your dogs to use whilst the parents eat, but the best thing of all and my fur baby agrees is their Pupacinos. Definitely a great place to eat - the fishfinger sandwiches are to die for. We will definitely be going back !
Amazing find in Port Isaac - the daughter and mum team fronting the cafe and shop were so welcoming. You genuinely feel cared for at Chapel Cafe, even more so if you have a dog like our not-always-perfect choccy lab lol! food was simply delicious - we had the fish finger sandwich award winning, no less, followed by a wo derfully indulgent brownie. They cater for all tastes and dietary requirements both human and canine! - our dog can highly recommend the biscuits and puppacinos on offer. The shop part of Chapel Cafe is also wonderfully laid out with interesting gift ideas, second hand clothes, bags, prints, decor items, health and beauty products etc. Fantastic to see a wonderfully renovated Chapel in such good and caring hands.
A lovely tea room, very nicely decorated ready for Christmas. Good sized pot of tea, we were talked into a cream tea which was yummy. Really light warm heart shaped scones, plenty of jam and really thick cream. The daughter and mum running it were super friendly and enthusiastic. Great for dogs, they even get a bed to sleep on in front of the fire. We will be back and taking our friends and their pooch.
A lovely relaxed and friendly cafe. Dogs are welcome and they even have dog beds that you can use to make your pet feel more relaxed. The young staff are professional and polite and the venue is tastefully converted from an old Chapel. We just had tea here for the 2 of us and the pot was enough for 3 cups each and it stayed hot. I would definitely recommend this place and will visit it again the next time I’m in the area.
Been here a few times as a local over the years and must admit that the food was always top notch and worth a visit for a breakfast before your walk along the coast, or maybe just back down to the harbour. The new owners have made much more use of the space and I'm sure more improvements will come. Rarely waited long to be seated but can get very busy in summer. A dog friendly venue with options to buy things for your prized pooch is a good touch too. Takeaway coffee and cake are a bonus.
Worth the wait when it’s busy you have to go in and collect a wooden spoon, then wait outside. We really enjoyed out fish finger sandwich and squid rings. Cream teas looked good too. I would highly recommend reducing the size of your lampshade display so you can fit in a few more tables…
We walked down the village after no luck at the Cornish cove cafe, we discovered the Chapel cafe by accident on our walk…I’m so pleased we did! The staff were very welcoming & very nice, as for the crème team, probably the best I’ve ever had! Would very much recommend walking down the village & visiting the Chapel cafe..apparently they do a fantastic fish finger butty..I will definitely try this next time we visit.
