A welcome spot to relax after a walk on the beach It's a bit basic nothing photogenic, tea served in takeaway cup, the plain scone was very nice all served on a paper plate same as the jam and cream, l fully understand why this is done, for me it's not where l would take my Mum on Mother's day too basic but its what it is! A place in the sun to sit and relax and dog friendly too. Parking: Parking for customers only
Popped in after completing the Kilve and coastal walk, best scones I've ever had! Fantastic setting and great service. Will definitely be returning when I'm back in the area.
Lovely tea shop with good selection of food and drinks available. I sat outside on a lovely summers day with my dog and the staff were very friendly and polite! Will definitely be going back!
Delightful, selection of sandwiches including gf bread and alternative milks, friendly service set in the grounds of a ruined Chantry. Slightly odd is everything is served in cardboard boxes and paper cups, there are recycling bins for everything though
Such a lovely little outdoor cafe and very covid safe! They do the best clotted cream scones I’ve ever had! Gluten free clotted cream scones are hard to come by, but since discovering this place we’ve come back again for my partners bday. Very friendly staff and great coffees too would highly recommend thank you
We visited on a warm March day. You can only sit outside so it's good to be aware of this. It's lovely to sit with the Chantry ruins forming one of the garden boundaries. There is a surprisingly large menu for such a small light lunch place. We can highly recommend the soup and the cheese scones. Our only downside is that absolutely everything is served in disposable tableware, which, although recyclable, feels a huge waste. Parking: Parking is on grass so be aware if there has been a lot of rain!
Excellent gluten free scones! Great GF options in general.Recommended dishesCream Tea
Fantastic tea and cake in a beautiful garden surrounded be sparrows and swifts. Coffee and walnut cake excellent - generous portion so half each was plenty for my mum and I! I was also impressed they had decaf and dairy-free options. The only downside was the wasps, who seemed to particularly like the jam in the cream teas..
So disappointed to be served scones and tea in cardboard. The owner put this down to Covid and being too busy at times, I don’t understand argument here, I mean they were able to serve this on plates and in cups before Covid? This should be advertised as take-away. A cuppa tea just doesn’t taste the same from a cardboard cup and the huge waste generated by the throw-away containers is a sad sight. Sadly we will not return which is such a shame as we had very fond memories of this place.
Stumbled upon this place. Nice food and lovely people. All served in the beautiful garden surrounded by 14th century ruin... Beautiful!Food: 5/5
