Tried Chai Paani on Belgrave on a whim as we usually eat at one of the other restaurants on Belgrave Road. Wanted something light and quick as we were mid shopping. The chap at the door welcomed us in as we were still reading the outside menu and greeted us in a friendly manner. I was drawn in by the Chole Bhuture and this is what we ended up eating. Getting a table was easy enough for a Sunday lunchtime even though the restaurant was busy. Ordered the food and it came quick enough. The food was very tasty and the bhuture were just right - not too greasy or heavy. Food was a delight and service was good. I would recommend eating here. The chai itself was also very good.
Have been here a couple of times and enjoyed the portions of the dishes we ordered. The prices are good, as is the friendly service. It can get quite busy but there is enough space for diners.
Went here with my family a few weeks back in the evening after we had a ride on the big wheel..nnWe went for lots of bits so it was filling. Food was lovely presented very cafe like but it was very tasty,nThe masala dosa was very impressive!nnService was very rushed, not relaxef and friendly. When our order was taken, it was OK but as food was coming out I felt everything was rushed and a bit slap dash. atmosphere wasn't to my liking.. the music I found was om too loud.. a little invasive and the lightning was harsh..nnI would visit here again as the food was lovely but probably more as a breakfast or brunch/lunch affair
Lively restaurant Monday lunchtime was heaving, so short wait for table. Delicious food, served by lovely staff! They'll help you with the menu if you need it. Very reasonably priced too. We had dhosa and chaat.
