Used Central on 14 April 2024 and they were beyond excellent. The woman at control was very pleasant and very efficient, helpfully varying the time of our pickup as we were on a train. The driver appeared exactly on time and was very kind and helpful. The cost was on the meter and very reasonable. Altogether a 5* service.
Extremely happy with the service. Phoned in prior to 7am on Easter Sunday. Stranded with 2 dogs and a broken down car, this was the only service that would take dogs. Sent a vehicle that matched my request, with a friendly driver who was very accommodating of me and my dogs despite them being muddy and wet from a walk and shedding all over the place. From the politeness of the agent upon ringing initially, to the great estimated arrival time and every effort made to contact me when it came to gathering further instructions and the support and understanding of the driver Terry. I would highly recommend it. Thankyou
How rare to find a taxi company that’s reliable! They were on time for both my journeys and our driver, Jay was friendly and professional and went the extra mile to help us book in a return journey. Booking process was easy and they keep us updated by text. Best cab company I’ve ever used.

Taxi booked & paid in advance for a Birthday meal out. Taxi didn’t turn up when said so we cancelled and was promised a refund as we had to drive otherwise we would have been late but they only refunded part of the monies & wont reply to calls or emails regarding the rest of the money. Poor business
Excellent Driver Good value to Redditch
Yesterday, I called to book a taxi at 8am for 10:15am as I needed to be sure I got a train. It was my 40th birthday. My family and friends live in Worcester and were on that train to meet me when I got on so we could all go into Birmingham together. We were going on a boat trip so I had to get that train to catch the boat. Central Taxis didn’t send my taxi even though I booked it over 2 hours earlier. I called them, twice, to be told by a very unhelpful woman “it’s on its way”. I got to the station with less than 2 minutes to spare after the taxi driver drove at break neck speed to get me there. The driver told me he was only given then job less than ten minutes before I got in the car, showing the women in the office hasn’t even sent my job out to the drivers before the time I needed to leave. To be honest, she comes across as though she just doesn’t care. I had a pretty stressful start to my birthday thanks to Central Taxis not doing their job, and I’ll not be using this taxi company again.
Called up to make some enquiries first one was about using an isofix car seat. I asked if they were able to guarantee a car that could accept an isofix car seat. I was told no because the cars are used for school runs so they can fit anything like that to them. And they car seats that are used for the school runs can't be used as they are for the school kids, they aren't theirs. I explained I wasn't asking to hire a car seat I was asking if they could guarantee a car with isofix points so I could fit my own car seat does not need a base or anything literally clips into the anchor points. Got the same answer back. Side note : I don't understand how isofix anchor points that come as standard in many cars would change the safety of kids going to and from school but hey On commenting that it's something I'd sent an enquiry about and got no response over and heard nothing back about "well you didn't speak to me!" I further clarified it was a Facebook query "well we don't use Facebook" . At that point, I gave up I had several more queries to make including regular bigger trips over summer that would have been bigger money, but I'm not dealing with customer service that is argumentative before I even book anything. I calmly told her that I felt the attitude was argumentative and that I couldn't be bothered with that, that it isn't good customer service and said my goodbye before hanging up. Maybe it's just a bad day, but they've lost my custom for sure.
Absolutely dreadful - rang up to pick me up for 6:45pm as I’m away from my house. He rocks up at 6:37pm to let me know he’s here. I get to my house to meet him at 6:42pm, 3 minutes ahead of schedule. He is nowhere to be seen, and upon my phone call he simply says he has left and won’t be bothering coming back. I think this is an absolute disgrace as i’d planned my whole evening around a certain train time, which had knock on effects on both a bar and a restaurant. This incompetence meant I missed my table as I missed my train, so I won’t be ringing this company ever again. The fact they didn’t even communicate to me made it even worse, I’m absolutely furious.
I used this company on Saturday for a two mile journey, I was charged £6.60p for the first journey and £17 for the return journey. When asked about the difference in price I was told double time. The return journey was over 20 minutes late and while driving back the driver answered is mobile phone with no Bluetooth and booked in another job for a friend knowing is next booked job was already waiting. l will not be using this company again.
