The staffs are friendly. There are lots of books, you can read it or borrow it. However most necessary facilities are out of order, including Wi-Fi and toilet. No air conditioner. Today is 31 degree Celsius. There is a child play area, but again it is closed.
Lots of books, but the experience in itself is great with two floors full of books. They have a dedicated kids area, newspaper reading/ working area.nnOverall good calm experience
Lovely, massive space with a brilliant selection of books. Really helpful staff when I was trying to locate a particular book.
The way in which the staff treat patrons is insanely rude. this is not my local library and so i'm used to libraries with better facilities, those with bathrooms and that allow you to eat cold foods. me and my partner were unaware the rules were different at this library as the signs saying so are small and few. That's on us, but unfortunately the way in which we were treated because of this was highly unprofessional. it reminded us of the way one might be spoken to by a school teacher with a power complex. i understand the library gets a lot of school children as there were a lot about and we do look quite young but that does not give staff the right to talk to us in the manner that they did. after that, it was clear the three ladies at the desk had their eye on us and made us extremely uncomfortable. i'm sorry, but i just cannot get over the way we were talked to. there are much better libraries who would never dream of treating their patrons in such a manor. libraries are about serving the community, not for the staff to act out some dreams of secondary school headteacher with the slightest amount of power. we felt villainized for trying to get work done. this is why people are choosing to work at coffee shops now, this is why libraries across England are dying. i sincerely hope the staff at this library undergo the appropriate training and can better themselves and the customers experience. And maybe get some bathrooms.nnEdit: i misspoke in regards the the signs regarding food and drink, there are actually zero signs.
Nice library. It's big and has a play area for children. Is a little noisy but you can find other quieter libraries.
