For some reason my negative review has been taken off so I'm posting again. 3 years ago I had a horrendous experience with this dentist similar to other patients of theirs it seems. On my first visit they decided to extract a tooth having had a history of very good teeth and make a complete mess of it. After 30 minutes of yanking they gave up having only managed to break it. They then sent me away with a broken tooth with unbelievably painful exposed nerves and for 2 weeks left me like that. I went back in twice to ask for help as I was in so much pain and they said they couldnt do anything. Eeventually they sent me to a different dentist in Hilton who whipped out the remainder of my probably perfectly healthy tooth in seconds. I immediately registered with a different dentist. Reception is lovely. Dentists are unskilled, unhelpful and possibly dishonest.
Sadly i cant give 5 stars because oc my experience today. Reception staff are great and the a majorty if the dentist practioners are wonderful with me as im a very nervous patient. However one of the dentists there would rather upsell product rather then give good advise. Also i dont like the idea of paying for a check up.to be insulted whilst feeling nervous. It makes me not want to come back. The appointments are strict and you must show cor every appointment including if you have family emergancy. This is not good practise and makes you feel that you have no choice but to attend or you lose your dentist. Its understandable but inconvient as a paying patient.
My filling fell out last night so I rang the dentist this morning and got an appointment today. No messing about, all options covered by the dentist, excellent service from everyone involved. I have experienced several dentist and received both private and NHS treatment but this practice is by far my best experience. I would recommend it to anyone whatever your situation, especially if you have a fear of the dentist. My wife was terrified of dentists prior to joining this practice, it has made such a difference to her. Thank you so much to everyone who works here, you all do a great job
Worst dentist i have ever registered with in my life.. After attempting to remove a tooth they further cracked a further tooth which has resulted in extraction using surgery. The surgery actually had to refer me to another practice for which was a god send, central dental have absolutely no empathy for patients and very minimal customer care. I would leave no stars at all if this was an option, I've seen butchers in action but I describe this practice as a back street hell hole... simply said..
I was at this practice for just about 5 years, I found they were too busy trying to sell me things I didn't need rather than address the problems with my teeth. Some people love their job and want the best for their patients...this practice was not one of them! I decided to leave as it was all about Money here & NOT Dental Health. I have since found a Fantastic practice which truly cares about its patients, and all the dental treatments Central Practice tried to charge me thousands of pounds for....were done on the NHS???? The fact that I raised my concerns when I first joined the practice about my problem and was ignored until it needed to be paid for privately....SPEAKS VOLUMES! BEWARE
Really lovely dentists that my family and I use. Even with illnesses and long term health problems. The dentists and staff are fantastic and have helped us so much. They really do a great job and are professional, friendly and kind. I can highly recommend them to anyone.
Contacting this practice is a nightmare phone don’t get answered and have had to visit in person twice to make enquiries. They state inability to make contact, no one else has an issue contacting me! Suggestion to receptionists maybe try leaving a voicemail, sending a text or email. And before the data protection excuse is used a simple text/email stating please call us back we’ve tried to reach you won’t breach any confidentiality laws. The have no issue in sending appointment reminders via text/email what a surprise. I can only echo other comments maybe it’s a tactic to put off NHS patients as they seemed more interested in whitening etc than the everyday filling/extraction. And if they request evidence for cancellation then they really can’t be interested in patient or customer care. Are the dentists obligated to give 48hrs notice if they can’t make an appointment? or do us patients just get a text message an hour before? Look elsewhere people there are plenty more options in town.
Last time I was there I got treated worse than an animal. Was rush rush rush no talking, I did not even know that they had put a small filling in my wisdom tooth that cost me quite a bit. It then got removed at DMC as was having problems with wisdom tooth. I am now looking at going Private and will stay well away from Central Dental Practice. Is quite funny as the owner has not even give themselves 5*
I cant thank Cental Dental Practice, for all of their help over the past few years. They have found underlying problems with my long term health and thank goodness, have gotten alot better. Central Dentals staff and dentists, are all friendly, bubbly and professional. Its one of the best dental practices I have ever been to. Thank you so much :
Not sure why they request to take a scan of your passport when you register as a new patient? unlawful maybe? especially due to the fact I pay for my treatment and told them this? changed to another practice who surprisingly never needed this, I've since raised this with Derbyshire NHS.
