We decided on a last minute meal out as we were child free for a change and made a booking at The Cavaliere. It was very busy but thankfully I'd booked us a table and we were seated promptly, although it took a wee while to get our menus. However once we made our orders our food was delivered quickly! I had the antipasti plate and it was huge! Everything was very fresh and delicious, although I think it could have been a sharer as a starter, my partner had the prawn cocktail. For mains I had spicy prawns in a tomato chilli sauce with a lemon risotto which was lovely, although a little too much sauce, my partner had the veal with truffle mash and demi Glacé, which had to have a taste of, it was wonderful. It was a little too large a portion for her but they were very accommodating and got us a wee tub to take leftovers home in. The price was a little more than I had expected but understandable for the quality of produce I suppose. Very friendly staff and delicious food, we will be back again.
While looking for a pub we landed here instead. Our last night in Scotland! Hospitality was great but the food was outstanding! Bolognese and the mushroom linguine w/red and cream sauce were fantastic. Great sauce. Perfect pasta and awesome venue!!
Been here many times in the past and never disappointed. Last weekend was the 1st time with a large group. 15 of us for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. Staff were fantastic, very attentive and joined in with a bit of fun with us. As usual, the food was incredible and the atmosphere, as always, was good too. They even kept our own cake for us and brought it out with the lights dimmed and candles lit. Nice wee surprise. We never, ever have a issue here. 5 stars every time
Lovely meal, staff friendly and helpful, we all enjoyed our food and drinks, however although my friends don't like big portions I would question if my husband had been with us and ordered the fish and chips, whether it would have been enough for him. All in all would definitely recommend for a lunch, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and the service, thank you.
Only been the once and was very pleasantly surprised. Booked a table very last minute and not even sure how they managed to squeeze us in, the place was packed. Food was lovely and service was great, also great value for money.

My first visit and it didn't disappoint! The restaurant was very busy and we all felt relaxed and there were no delays in the food being served. Thank you to the staff who deserve golf medals!Food: 5/5
Gluten free pizza and pasta!! Pizza base one of the best I've tasted and they don't over cook the pasta. They know what they're doing when it comes to gluten free! Lots of veggie options too. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Plenty, not just margarita! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza bases and pasta
Our favourite local restaurant for when we’re home visiting family. The service is excellent, always extremely friendly and the food is just as good! The wine and cocktail choices are also excellent! Can highly recommend the garlic mushrooms, penne arrabbiata, 4 cheese pasta and the awesome calzone!
In for a takeaway at the cav 2 go this time ! And would highly recommend ! My family and I have been to the restaurant once and it was an amazing experience and exceptional food and would definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
