Wayne & Olga at Catnap Cattery are fantastic! The facilities are great, incredibly well organised and very clean. Our cat has just spent Christmas at Catnap and he absolutely loved it. He was so well cared for, so calm and happy on collection. A big thank from the whole family and Captain Wentworth.
We are devastated to have lost a cat placed in our care. One of our staff did not follow our strict security protocol and did not properly secure the gate to the perimeter fence. He has been dismissed and we have reviewed our staff training to ensure it never happens again. We want to ensure all our customers that we will continue to provide the best care in top quality accommodation. Olga Johnson Admin Manager Catnap Cattery
We had to leave our beloved cat with Olga and Wayne for several months when we were between homes in temporary accommodation. I cannot fault the care they gave her - Olga and Wayne were wonderful and insofar as the lockdowns allowed we were able to visit as often as we liked. We can't thank them enough.
I would certainly not recommend this cattery to anyone who cherishes their cat. This cattery negligently lost our cat by leaving security doors open allowing our cat to escape whilst we were on holiday. On our return the cattery refused to assist in the search for our cat. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have accordingly issued the cattery with a final warning due to their failings over security and the cattery purport that they have improved security by adding additional locks. However adding additional locks on doors does not prevent them being left open by negligent staff. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have also told the cattery that they MUST keep records of inoculations and Petlog details. These were not kept whilst our cats were boarding and could have helped in the recovery of our cat had the cattery bothered to keep these essential details. In the end it was I that had to manage this whilst away on holiday in a foreign country. My advice is that if you are desperate enough to use this cattery you fully inspect it and make sure you are happy with the security and management of your cats details. There are plenty of other good catteries around that will give you peace of mind. A previous post on this site has been made by a person who has not boarded any cat at Catnap Cattery so has no idea of the services provided that were not up to scratch, nor the distress to the family of a cherished cat negligently lost by this cattery.
Our cats have been boarded here several times a year over the last twenty years or so. They are well looked after and Wayne and Olga clearly care for all the animals they are looking after. They are compassionate animal lovers and I wouldn't leave my cats anywhere else.
I have known Wayne and Olga for over twenty years and I know how much they adore and care for their guests. The cattery is spotlessly clean and the cats are looked after scrupulously. I visit Catnap weekly and always look forward to seeing the visitors, happy and content in their houses. Long may it continue.
Wayne, Olga and the lovely staff show great attention to detail: cats stay in clean, heated chalets, with individual external areas to stretch their legs and play with toys. There is a triple system of fencing individual cat enclosure, outer walkway & perimeter fence and any specific feed requirements are catered for. However what impressed me most was the personal attention strokes and cuddles given to each cat. Would thoroughly recommend! I am a veterinary student and I saw all aspects of the business when I worked here for 2 weeks Dec 2016.
I have visited Catnap Cattery many times and would highly recommend it. It is immaculate and comfortable. Olga and Wayne are passionate animal-lovers, and care for many strays, whatever problems they sometimes present. They are unstinting in the attention and care they give their cat boarders. I would happily board any cat with them.
This is an amazing cattery. Very clean and the cats have 5* treatment. The owners are so caring and nothing is too much trouble. I feel that my cats are safe and well cared for. I would not want to leave them anywhere else. They go that extra mile. It really is the best
My advice to anybody wishing to leave their cat at this cattery is don't if you ever wish to see them again. They do not follow proper safety protocol and by their own admission, allowed our cat to escape leaving our other cat alone and confused. If you complain you get accused of being abusive. Although leaflet delivery had been promised whilst we were on holiday, on checking those houses identified they confirmed they had not received any communication whatsoever. Cats Protection League visited with a trap only to find that they had gone out for the day. So the result is our beautiful rescue cat is out there with no-one actively searching for her. I hope no-one else has to go though this although we have been told this is not an isolated case. Therefore, in my opinion they are not fit to run a cattery and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
