Catherines of Partick is an independent store based in the West End of Glasgow, which was established over 75 years ago.

We have built our reputation through word of mouth and recommendations which we have continued to maintain through providing a service that is second to none.

Although we are renowned for our occasion wear, we also carry a wide range of informal wear - evening dresses, daywear, business suits, prom dresses, casual wear and evening gowns, again by fashion designers of international reputation.

We stock a large variety of costume jewellery, pearls for the mother of the bride/mother of the groom, diamante for that special occasion, or a gold or silver necklace to compliment any outfit.

The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The choice of outfits was amazing but I was very picky and kept asking to see more. That was not problem, Roma had endless patience and lots of advice and I found the perfect and stunning Mother of the Bride outfit. We agreed that it would benefit from a  couple slight alterations and they were done efficiently and reasonably. I felt totally comfortable in my outfit all day / evening and the hat was FAB! I got so many compliments on it and I was definitely the star of the show - after my daughter the bride! Thank you Roma and Catherines!

We visited Catherines of Partick to find my Mum a Mother of the Bride dress, and we had a wonderful morning!  We were taken care off straight away, and really took our time finding something for my Mum. I believe her name was Louise, and she was so lovely and encouraging. She listened to my Mum, put forward her suggestions and ended up finding the perfect dress for her!  My Mum was absolutely beaming, and looks amazing. Thank you so much for putting us at ease and finding the perfect outfit x

Catherine’s of Partick were amazing from start to Finnish. Roma was fantastic, she was so very helpful and had such a bubbly personality.She calmed me down when I was panicking, she reassured me and promised to find me the dress of my dreams.  I felt like a million dollars at my son’s and daughter in law’s wedding. It was a magical day. I can’t rate Catherine’s of Partick high enough.

Earlier this month my mum purchased her Mother of the Bride outfit from here for my wedding this November. We had an appointment with Roma and I can honestly say Roma is one of the nicest people we have ever dealt with when shopping. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left she was fantastic and took her time to show us everything and even suggesting outfits to try that we would never have thought of looking at. She made my mum, myself and my sister feel so relaxed and so special. The outfits are stunning and so many to choose from.  They operate by appointment only so never crowded and very spacious. Excellent service throughout, from a phone call from Sharon literally 5 minutes after me messaging to request an appointment, through to meeting Roma in the shop. Roma was excellent, very relaxed, easy to chat to, listened to what I liked/didn’t like. Got the help, advice and dress I wanted with shoes, bag, fascinator to match. Good advice to buy the nude tights too. Nothing was a problem, picking my dress up next week after the alterations have been done by Isobel. Would highly recommend. Get in quick before the mad rush for the summer weddings begins!

I can’t thank Roma enough for helping me find my mother of the bride outfit.   She listened to what I did and didn’t want, and brought me several outfits to try that fitted what I was looking for.  She is such a lovely person and was endlessly patient and understanding while I struggled to make up my mind between the final two dresses. I never felt under pressure to buy something but I’m so happy that I did!  Thank you Roma for making this a fun experience.
