We held my brother's funeral in the Cathedral in December 2016 and it gave us great pleasure to be in Northampton's beautiful cathedral.  Father Brendan spent an hour with us a few weeks prior to the funeral to discuss what we wanted and he guided us through the format of the service.  He listened to what we wanted and he incorporated our chosen hymns (one on CD) and prayers into the service. His office helped us to compose the Order Of Mass booklet and they liaised with the funeral directors on our behalf.  Many people who came to the service were of other faiths and some of none, but Father Brendan made everyone feel very welcome and included.  We love symbolism in the R.C. church together with incense, flowers, joyful music and beautiful vestments and after the mass so many people said how interesting and moving the service was.  Well done Father Brendan and Team.
