Beautiful, good quality coffee. Great selection of cold drinks, pastries and small gifts. Lovely servers too, many thanks!
There are lots of reasons to visit Castleton—hiking through Cave Dale to Mam Tor, the Devil’s Arse and Peveril Castle, to name three. But there is one other that helped start every morning I was there last July off on the right foot, Castleton Coffee Company. A narrow hole in the wall with only a handful of seats at a counter by the window and a bench outside by the door, it serves a great cup of coffee. In addition to my normal espresso, it there that I enjoyed my first flat white. My only complaint is that because their flat white was so delicious, every flat white I have had since has been a little disappointing.
I ordered a oat milk latte, and was impressed to find the oat milk was no added cost. The drink arrived quickly to where I was sitting on the bench outside. The coffee had a high quality flavour and the milk was well-textured.nnThe price was more than I'd habitually pay but I guess it reflects the lovely location, near Mam Tor and the caves. I will definitely be going back.
Excellent coffee and pastries in quite a small space. Very friendly staff and not your run of the mill jazzy coffee shop music but while we were there they played Iron Maiden. Goes quite well with coffee
I asked if they could put the coffee in my bottle as I was on my way to the trails and was surprised they filled the whole bottle even though it’s probably twice the size of a takeaway cup! Great service. They have an interesting range of merch available too
