Excellent clubhouse. Friendly. Course is in two nines. Newer and slightly less established front nine. But still a challenge. Back nine, well established with some excellent holes.
Went to have a look since it has re opened. Guy couldn’t be any nicer to us and offered us to play. But just finished playing somewhere else so did not have the time. Anyway club house is excellent but the course still needs work fairways greens and tee boxes look very hairy so needing some work but all in all looking good. Nice to see it open again.
Castle park is a good layout, I enjoy playing the course especially in the summer. The course in winter is rather heavy underfoot, but I must add the management are trying to rectify this by adding a lot of drainage work on the course. I have an update for anyone planning on booking a round, golf buggies are now available to members only.
A little gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Course was in very good condition. Front 9 is nice and Flat and open,which warms you up nicely for the back 9.what a back 9 it is.on the hilly side,but some amazing holes.a cracking bit of course design.if parkland courses are your thing,then you will not be disappointed.
Upon arriving we were greeted by an angry man who worked here. Immediately interrogated us on our business here and started swearing at us when we said we were going for a walk first before golf. Avoid at all costs
Great course in superb condition January greens fast and true, credit must go to the greenkeepers who are doing a wonderful job with the upkeep. Club house staff were extremely nice and welcoming add the lovely food and you have a winner for your golfing days, looking forward to my next visit
Very nice course with some demanding holes, all in a picturesque setting. Reasonable prices and a comfortable clubhouse. Craig's hospitality is excellent, which raises the rating to five stars.
Had a game of golf here today what a fabulous course, challenging, interesting and lots of hills especially the back 9 but don't let that put anyone off. Friendly staff in the clubhouse. Can't review the food as we only had a tea
Course good for time of year and bonus is no mats or winter greens !!
