We stopped off here on our way home from Yorkshire. We ordered the triple roast which had thick slice of roast beef, slice of pork and turkey with all the trimmings. You also can order unlimited roast potatoes,Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Everything was fresh and not frozen rubbish you get from other eateries. I must say this is the best roast dinner I have ever had eating out. Would highly recommend

Sunday lunch delicious. Good choice of meats and veg. Large Yorkshire puddings and portions sizes served with rich thick delicious gravy.  Parmo was good thickness, with tasty sauce and cheese on top. Chicken a little over cooked and crispy. Tasty garlic sauce and sides salad along with proper home cooked chips.

Loved this place, warm welcome, Waitress was very pleasant, food was good fish & chips and hunters chicken good portions, lovely pint of moretti , toilets were clean

Fantastic .The food was first class the service was also first class and the price was very good. My wife was gluten and dairy free and nothing was too much for them can not believe I've never been here before 10 out of 10.

11 of us came in by surprise on a Monday night. They easily could have turned us away as the kitchen had just closed. But they assured us that they would take us and treated us all so well.  The food was really good and the service was friendly and welcoming.  I would highly recommend.

Happened upon this place while looking for a stop off between our lodge near Hull and our home just south of Edinburgh. Sunday lunch was delicious and plentiful - won't need any dinner. Staff lovely,  professional. Definitely worth booking.

Went here for an early evening meal last night. A first visit for myself and my husband. However,our friends had been before. Lovely surroundings, lovely staff and a delicious meal. Thank you to the young gentleman that actually took our order and served our drinks. He was polite and courteous which makes a difference. We will definitely be visiting again.

Arrived to get dinner last night approx 18.00 21/01/22. Paid for drinks after seeing the lounge was half empty. I asked for a menu to be told the kitchen wasn't serving food? Also advised by another customer not the staff! that the heating wasn't working, so keep our coats on. Really disappointing service again from my local, which was once a fabulous pub and restaurant, but obviously the new owners aren't working.

A great, cozy pub! The staff and locals were so friendly, and the food was great with a nice beer selection. They were welcoming to our large group as well. The baked camembert was amazing! They had great decorations for the holidays.
