Had a great time. As there is so much still standing it's easy to visualise how things might have been. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. Recommend visiting to everyone.
Beautiful place. It costs money to see the inside of the castle but you can see a lot for free too. For the most part, it's kid friendly. We spent about an hour there. There was areas closed off for construction though so that was a let down.
Really enjoyed it, well preserved castle, lots of nice touches like the dragons and the statue. A lot of renovation work going on, however large amounts of the castle are still open. Really well done as there are lots of places to look through so A. you can have a nose at what is going on and B. so that you can still see other parts of the castle and views. No toilets or cafe currently.
We love this castle, but as it's under essential renovation there are some limits to what you can see and experience. I'm looking forward to seeing the great all when it's finished and all the furniture has been replaced in the rooms. The entry price gets you access to Castle Coch, which I highly recommend as a great experience. The coffee and cheese chilly scones there were the best I think I've ever had.
