Fantastic, high quality butchers where you can also buy excellent cheese from their deli counter and fresh fruit and vegetables. They also sell a careful selection of other grocery items - particularly jams and pickles - much of the produce is local. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the produce they sell.
Excellent local Grocer/Butcher in Crickhowell Fresh Fruit and Veg Limited parking in town but the spaces tend to open up pretty quick. Town best approached from the west side to view the stone arched bridge as you go into town, take the first right as soon as you have crossed the bridge and it will take you into the centre of town and the 1 hour street parking, failing that turn right at the next junction to approach the longer term parking. The Bear Hotel is a good stop for coffee or beer, head for the garden if it’s a nice day.
Superb local produce and extremely friendly service. We bought a massive chunk of roast beef and a selection of vegetables to take on an adventure up in Snowdonia. As a New Zealander, I know what good meat is like: and the product from Cashell's was outstanding. The roast we bought gave us a big feed of roast beef one night, beef sammichs while we climbed Crib Goch on Snowden, and beef curry with the leftovers. Great banter with the staff too!
Beautiful Pork Loin all ready and rolled with my Lemon and Pistachio stuffing. Covered in their streaky bacon. All ready for Christmas Day. Thank you boys
We ordered a joint of 28 day matured sirloin beef, we travelled 45 Miles to get it and we were not disappointed. This butchers shop was absolutely amazing and true to his word. We can honestly say there was absolutely no waste and not a single person at the christmas table had a bad word to say. We will definitely be making the 90 mile round trip again as this is what a real butcher should be like, non of your supermarket rubbish. 10/10. From Mr Covell

Roast beef Sunday lunch at home......the piece of beef Aaron cut for me was superb.....I have been buying meat from Cashells for a few years and I have NEVER been disappointed. Why go anywhere else? I don't live in the Crickhowell area but it's worth the journey. Thank you

Shopped here when we stayed at Glanusk Estate for Christmas shopping get together. A family run butchers business operating since 1974 that offers locally produced fresh meat and select vegetables. Their food hampers looked enticing. Needless to say, the quality and service was top class.
Popped in on a visit to Crickhowell on holiday in the Beacons for some Welsh butter and it transpired Welsh Cider. The range of produce, all local sourced is fantastic - We may have to move so we can slowly work our way through the range.
