Firstly, I'll premise this by saying that Art is subjective. When I visited, I didn't take too much to the current show, but their general collection was nice and provided a nice cultural day out. The grounds were lovely and spacious and picturesque.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I finally entered this building after visiting Lister Park so many times. The park is lovely, but the building is equally so. I can't say that I am a fan of art, I prefer architecture, but there are some great pieces of artwork here. In the gallery, you will find the largest collection of David Hackney's lifework beautiful displayed. I must say it was very interesting to wall through. Works displayed by Osman Yousefzada that I completely don't understand, but some people seem to like it. What was more interesting to me was the portrait exhibition by Shy Burhan of 'Women in Uniform'. Her display of women of colour defying social stereotypes in professions normally held by men. Very interesting. Art is now digital people, amazing. The gallery is one to see. They encourage kids to visit and host craft sessions, and it has a cafe.
Wonderfully accessible gallery situated in the fabulous Lister Park. Free parking, free entry and so worth visiting. The David Hockney room is an absolute "must" for anyone who enjoys the work of the "son of Bradford" It's full of his wonderful paintings, prints, photos and telld the story of his development as an artist. If you want to make the day a complete " Hockney Experience" you can then drive the 15 minutes to Salts Mill and enjoy more Hockney in the gallery there along with the chance to buy prints of his work and eat in Salt's Diner
Sculptures and paintings are a delight to see scattered around this magnificent Hall. The various exhibitions that were on at my time of visit was fantastic. The David Hockney Gallery was a highlight, as was the coffee and cake in the cafe. This beautiful looking Hall is worth a visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
We really enjoyed visiting the museum, well worth a visit, especially with free entry. My toddler enjoyed it as well, with various craft stations and interesting artwork. The associated cafe was also a pleasant experience, with a good selection of hot drinks and treats. Staff throughout were friendly and helpful.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

“Plants of the koran” - truly majestic. A beautiful heart warming experience!! A sight to behold enjoying the works of the artist. To see is to believe. Come and enjoy with the whole family. The words of the koran unfold & transport you to another dimension. Subhanallah Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Free admission. A range of art. Good cafe with a wide selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Eat in or take out. Beautiful park with peaceful pools and a busy waterfowl pond as well as well maintained wide paths through many trees and shrubs. Great display of daffodils just now and banks of crocuses earlier in the year.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It's nothing major but it's quite decent. The new asian show is interesting for definite but would like to see more stuffVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Even though the weak February sunshine was not bright enough to open the million crocus blooms, it was still spectacular. The Refreshment Room tries it's best to provide value for money grub, but it is both dog friendly and child friendly which may spoil your meal. The museum is full of unexpected art treasures and quite a discovery with friendly staff on hand too.
