I love castles in Ireland. This castle has Great tours and you can take as many pictures as you like. The gift shop is fun and the employees are sincere and helpful.They don't mind questions. The restrooms are clean. The feel of history is real and you can climb in and around the inside of the castle. It's very family oriented with a children's center full of books, videos and puzzles. The grounds are amazing and full of flowers and history. I loved spending several hours there.

Very basic. Has a good history of the structure and of the town. Is quite small so would take about 1hr to get around. On the top floor is a games room with big chess which is good. Car parking is free and available right beside the castle. Creed coffee house is nice nearby for a coffee and a sandwich. Good for a quick visit overall and entry prices are cheap.

Great place to take the kids to help get them out of the house and experience history. This place is phenomenal to open the eyes of children to their heritage and past.

Beautiful castle. Would like to have stayed longer but lack of parking was a real issue. The adjacent car park had been taken over by a fairground and the next closest was taken over by a market. Could only park on the street which was limited to 1hr.

A fantastic example of a Norman Castle in a town which is older than Belfast. Carrickfergus used to be the main trading port in this part of Ireland and is located near the beginning of the beautiful and stunning Antrim Coast road.
