Really cool castle!! A good tour. It was very cold and windy and rainy when we went but worth it! Staff are very friendly, kind and helpful! A fun, interactive children's area. Convenient, free parking available. Gift shop on site.

I am in love with this place.  The castle is beautiful, inside there is a reconstruction of what happened there.  Is a hall with a video projection, which tells about the castle.  There is fun for children.  Also, there is even a paper guide with a history in different languages, which is the most impressive.  There are Christmas decorations everywhere, which makes the tour very festive.  Worth to visit.

Had a lovely day at the castle today, our tourguide was very knowledgeable and made the hours tour very interesting and enjoyable.  Facility's on site are very good with there being two sets of toilets and a gift shop and an indoor activity area for the children. There is currently some work going on but it by no means spoils the day.

This 900 year old Norman castle is just epic. With breathtaking views, tons of historic facts, and a dominating presence. It really is an amazing sight to see. Also the staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely a highlight on my trip to Northern Ireland.

All I can say is awesome! This place was a fantastic walk through! The place is beautiful.   Love oct and Halloween time!  The people are so knowledgeable and helped us find more gems on our adventures through Ireland.  Make the stop here, it will be worth it.

Beautiful old castle with historic features and spaces dating from the 1200s to the 1800s. Highly informative visitors center and the castle itself is so fun to walk through. The waterside window and door were extra alluring. I could imagine someone sneaking out the steps that led down the back path to escape to the water. The old radar structure thats been gutter out on the water path is cool too. I would like to see it get painted and have local art displayed in it even just high schools kids art

I have visited this castle previously when I was younger, but I went back yesterday although didn't go inside this time the castle itself is beautiful and is set by the sea and town of Carrickfergus. There is convenient free parking available right next to the castle and it is open to the public for a reasonable fee. Definitely worth a visit if you like castles and have an interest in the history.

Great family afternoon out. Would recommend it.  My 4 year old loved it. It's not very big but great playground just short walk away. Beautiful views of sea.
