Visited to obtain some ideas on vinyl fitting for our bathroom refit. Dog friendly always pleased about that. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Helped where we needed and gave us good advice, we ordered our vinyl and arranged a date for fitting. Great experience, we will book again for our whole house flooring once all our work is done. Thank you team.
I had lino put in my bathroom in March that cost me £110. Mould is now growing underneath & watermarks because it hasn't been sealed properly. I've been in to complain but they won't help me. They may be cheap but they're a disgrace when it comes to a problem.
Arranged for someone to come measure up for new carpets no one turned up . Never going to use them again so lost a customer . What a joke this carpet shop is and they no how to lose customers It was my address u was spose to be coming to and no one come to this address between 9 and 10 . And no phone call either so sorry won't be using ur shop
Ordered a couple of carpets from Carpet News Fareham. The lady in the store was friendly and helpful. Picked the carpets and arranged a date for fitting, all good so far. Carpets were fitted by Mark Chambers as arranged, the fitter did a good job and were paid. We later noticed damage to our newly painted skirting board, a deep gouge that could only have came from a knife as they were cutting the carpet to size. I informed Carpet News via email with picture with no response, I contacted the fitter he left a card and again sent a picture of the damage, to be fair he did call straight back and told me that there was no damage and my paint was "flakey" ! I understand that things sometimes happens but to cause this damage and not the courage to mention it and then try to gaslight me in saying its the paints fault is very disappointing. We had planned in carpeting the whole house using Carpet News but after this experience I will be going elsewhere. Very poor. do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Always have a pleasant experience here. Not pushy at all giving it the hard sell like some other shops. They let you take sample books home with you as well for a few days.
*updated below after unsatisfactory response from management* Awful customer service! They are really good in the shop I will give them that, but the moment they install a carpet with a rust brown stain on they don’t want to know. Phoned and emailed on 4+ occasions, being fobbed off every time saying it will be looked into. I would not recommend as they do not put their own errors right. *UPDATE* I appreciate the offer to replace the carpet, but due to the amount of furniture etc. and having a young child it wasn’t going to be convenient especially after all this time and having turned the room into our living space. As a result we requested a partial refund which we were told was being handled. Finally, after several weeks and multiple phone calls where we were told consistently and constantly that it was being dealt with, despite seeing no action we have been given less than 20% of the cost price of the carpet as a refund, and only after visiting the store in person to chase things up. I could not recommend this store, especially as when we were in there to sort it out another customer was complaining that the carpet they ordered never arrived and they needed it prior to making a sale on the motor home the carpet was going to be used in.
So far so good. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A large range of carpets and flooring at various prices to suit everyone's pocket. Having our carpets fitted on a day that suited us which they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Just hoping we'll be happy with the fitting.
Just a word of warning, be careful with this company. I ordered carpet for my whole house, before the last of it was fitted I decided against having carpet fitted in my hallway but was told the carpet had already been cut and couldn’t get a refund. So instead asked for the carpet so I could sell it privately, turns out the carpet fitter messed up and the carpet was los. After phoning the shop I was told that because the it was carpet fitters mistake, who the shop employed to do it, I couldn’t get a refund unless the fitter paid for it, which he refused to do so I basically got bumped for £200. There are a load of better carpet shops in the area so be aware, I should have come on here for the reviews before going with them. Just a note, the staff in the shop were brilliant, unfortunately this came from the owner. In response to shop reply, I am unable to have the cut bit of carpet I originally bought due to mix up with fitter who the shop employed to do it through no fault of mine. So instead of giving a refund which I asked for, they are giving me another random bit of carpet, as I said, be careful when dealing with this company as they ruthless in their endeavour to make money. Also be careful using their fitters, they try to use a loop hole by booking in their carpets fitters for you but get you to pay them direct so they can claim they hold no responsibility for anything that happens.
Would give no stars if i could. Terrible. Avoid this company at all costs. Advised to order carpets for the whole upstairs of our home to ensure they would be available when we were ready for them. Shop are claiming no carpets held for us and have never held them. We've lost out on £1000 of carpets. Now have to buy them again. Incredibly rude service from all staff and owners.
