Carluccios Cafe
"Carluccio’s began life in 1991 when Antonio and Priscilla opened their food shop in Neal Street, bringing the finest quality regional Italian food to London. They carefully wrote each label by hand and explored the length and breadth of Italy to find the best ingredients. In 1999 they opened the first Carluccio’s Caffè in Market Place – an authentic Italian restaurant in the truest sense of the word, and a continuation of their successful food shop."

There is not much to say. The food was OK, I was served by a waitress with pink hair, she was lovely when she approached the table, but many times when I called her, she ignored me, unfortunately on this day was no enough staff. If you visit Carluccio's you should book a table. I didn't book a table and I had to wait for more than 20 minutes, the restaurant was quite empty. If you like puddings, I recommend the tiramisu and hot chocolate, good combination.
Waited an extremely long time for the food to arrive. When it did arrive the food was cold and tasteless. The waiter we had is great and clearly understaffed. For the price of the bland meal I wouldn't come to this place again.
Treated mum to a Grande traditional breakfast with mimosa for her birthday. Staff were lovely very attentive. Great atmosphere in restaurant & food was delicious Food: 5/5
Was a 5 star now a zero 4 of us arrived for breakfast, told fully booked, noted at least half the tables empty. Went onto website and I could book a table, challenged front desk and she said didn't want to allow us in as would overwhelm the kitchen and staff and we might have a long wait for food
Very average... We been seated by lovely waitress but then we were waiting around 15-20 minutes for someone to come to us to take a drinks order. Once someone finally came to us we order drinks and food to not wait again. Food arrived around 45 minutes later. It wasn't even that busy on that time. None of the staff looked like they even care. When finally we get the food , manager kindly offer parmezan for our pasta which in the end we never get it. Definitely will never come back. 3 stars only because don't want to be horrible
Myself and family used to eat here very regularly. Unfortunately, quality and service has deteriorated and the attitude of waitresses here is shockingly poor. You are made to feel like the staff are doing you a favour in here. Final straw was an attempt to find a table this morning with a half empty restaurant to which we were aggressively told ‘no reservation no can do’. Just stay away, plenty of better options nearby!
We arrived as a party of 7 for coffee and cake after a negotiation we were seated at a table for 4 with extra seating which was fine . The service is terrible the staff are surly and unhappy. The guy at the counter making the drinks blatantly ignored me to my face when I asked him if one of the cake selections right by his elbow was gluten free. It took 15mins for our order to be taken and another 15 for the coffee to come and the cakes appeared sometime after. We have avoided coming to the restaurant for sometime as our last experience was terrible, but thought we would try again as it was always a favourite with us before lockdown when it was part of the original chain as all the staff had worked there along time and were super efficient and friendly. No gluten free selection now so after this experience no reason at all to try again.
First of all I decided to book this restaurant because I was tempted by the menu..... unfortunately only the names of the plates were appealing. The taste the consistency, even for the pizza.... it was fast-food level. We went this Thursday as a family to celebrate my birthday, we even put the remark ''birthday'' because the booking process gave us the option... not only we got the rudest most careless waitress but not even once we were asked if we were celebrating something... I would have ordered a dessert... instead we ran as fast as we could after the mains. It took one hour and 15 minutes to get the food, the tables were so basic like a fastfood feeling. I enquired several times about the food as I had a very hungry 6 years old and the waitress literally rolled her eyes at me... I am shocked how that place is still open. Not recommended.
The food was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were having a rest in between serious sale shopping so we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were working hard to give a great service despite having ingredients shortages due to suppliers. Thank you. Vegetarian options: The four of us are vegetarian and enjoyed the veganesca spaghetti and Penne giardiniera with garlic focaccia
We are used to eat at this restaurant once a year. The last time was just before the Covid. It was always fine there…until today. We are Saturday evening, the young guy who “welcomed” us could even not say hello or smile! We asked for a table and sat down. He brought us the menu, no smile, no question to know if we want to drink something. Nothing! The worst? He cleaned all tables, never looked at our table to see if we were ready to order. 2 other ladies also walked around our table without asking anything. Finally, after 20min, 3 other people arrived next our table…, and 2 min later were served. We left the restaurant and will never come back. Inacceptable ! Fortunately, there are plenty others at Bluewater, but did he know?
