As soon as we arrived in London, we went to breakfast and found it a very pleasant place. We had some sausage sandwiches with a coffee with milk. All great. We decided to finalize our stay with a meal and it was also great. We ate an excellent pasta, in quantity and quality. Striped Parmesan cheese straight from the cheese taco In short, I recommend it for breakfast, lunch and dinner closed late. Very friendly and all very clean
had lunch with freinds at carlos, pizza is a must try! true italian flavour!salmon was freshly cooked with roasted potatos yum..,service was good, waitress was helpfull, she helped me to choose a good dish, conveniently close to southwark undergrou . reasonable price,it's a shame they are not open at night,i recommend this restaurant to any one who is looking for proper italian taste
Well is not a bad place for meeting up with friend, fair price to foreign students and lovely Italian waiter/resses, would head to here again once if I wanna find a cozy restaurant after schooling.
Great food, reasonably priced, friendly staff. Had lunch and breakfast the following day. This is a gem of a restaurant in an otherwise touristy and expensive place. Highly recommend.
Had a really lovely time, the best cheesy garlic bread ever. Waiter was very very nice
Recently booked a table for 11 of us on a Sunday for a late lunch as it was my mum's birthday. From the day I called to book I was met by super friendly people. On the day three other friends decided to join us and the restaurant had no problem extending the table to accommodate 14. Staff was great and the food was amazing. Even the fussy eaters in the family were impressed with the food. Definitely will be visiting again.
It's the first time I write a review about any place but I couldn't hold myself after seeing my sandwich. I've had the worst sandwich I've ever had for £4.50. It was basically like eating bread which was nice but no toasted - 1 slice of bacon, 1 slice of cheese in each side of the sandwich and a soft-boiled egg in the whole sandwich. Also, I've asked them for the bacon to be crispy and it was under-cooked instead.
Had coffee here couple of times, which was good. Decided to have lunch here, had to wait 30min for food place wasn't that packed - ravioli pasta was raw on some of the pieces, steak was undercooked and very tough - had to have it sent back to be cooked a bit more and still came unevenly cooked. Staff were nice and apologised, but still left unsatisfied.
I love Carlo's Kitchen! I go there everytime I am back in London. Very good genuine Italian food, as at home, very reasonable prices. Very kind and attentive staff. Nothing to do with fast food. A rare gem of a place!
I had breakfast and coffee at this kitchen twice in two weeks. I had a meeting around the corner the coffee is very nice the breakfast is adequate but nothing to write home about. The staff are friendly the gent's toilet is very small and almost impossible to get into whilst closing the door on my second trip I just opted for the disabled loo.
