Very small for £5. But with English heritage you get 50% off. Had fun exploring. You can climb right to the top for a good view which is nice. Lady on the desk was very nice n helpful. Worth a quick drop in if you are passing.
Beautiful castle situated on a hill with great views which you can see from the top, friendly staff and very helpful.
I loved it, the rest of the family not so but I love these historical remains and the stories that go with them. Wonderful views from the top and well worth a visit.
Lovely castle perched on the top of a small hill, the views from the top are amazing. The garden beside the ticket office was a lovely place to enjoy a picnic and watch the wildlife, red squirrels and a variety of butterflies.
A great little ruin parking right outside the shop the lady in the shop was friendly and wonderfull bathrooms at the back of the shop lovely little place for a wee half hour walk round on a sunny day some tables and chairs at the back of the shop aswell
Small castle but nice to explore.its £5 admision but worth it theres toilet facilities and a small gift shop the coffee machine is small but makes nice coffee. They also put bird feeders out at the back of the visitors centre and record what they see so a bit of wildlife spotting too.
Beautiful and stunning castle. Home to many birds in the spring. Beautiful view of the surrounding area from the top
Roof terrace was fantastic. Just wish it wasn't raining
Very cool tower house. Very quiet, we were the only people there.
Great wee castle with stunning views of the Solway Firth and surrounding area. It's a stiiff climb to the entrance of the castle and the stairwell is very narrow, but nothing onerous. Look out for the wildlife board in the small visitor centre. There is parking, a small gift shop and toilets to the rear. An ideal place to visit if you are staying in the immediate area or looking to break up a journey along the A75.
