Considering how close the area is, the fact there is no access from Craigton to this station is a big missed opportunity - opening up a walkway/some kind of access from the industrial estate area just off Barfillan drive along to here would open up the station to many more people, could reduce car journeys and encourage more patronage for public transport in the area. Could the disused access path be opened up to pedestrians with an entrance to the station at the top of Minto View Drive, for example. It'd be a five minute walk to the station and open up many new and convenient journeys for people in the area.
If you are disabled only go if going to greenock way
Minimal facilities, NO toilets. Some sheltered seats on both platforms. Smallest station car park of which i know. Ticket office, very restricted opening hours. However, the extremely personable, helpful, knowledgeable staff, Robert, is pure gold. He's also a really nice guy. He alone, is the reason for 4 stars.
This is 1 of the worst stations in Glasgow, dielectric office, not ideal access to platform 1, only 1 ticket machine n will never use due 2 covid, to gain access to main road need 2 walk to get to steps an unsteady very outdated
Not a lot of services at all, ticket office which has extremely unpredictable opening hours, small shelters at each platform and a ticket machine. The main drawback for this train station in my opinion is the inaccessibility. There is no access at all to one of the platforms I think platform 2 for wheelchair users or people who struggle with stairs and mobility. The far side of the station backs onto the motorway so there's no access whatsoever. There's a small car park, and when I say small I mean there are maybe 6 spaces and most of these are used by residents of the homes nearby. It's also quite far away from everything, a 15 minute walk from the station to the Morrisons on Paisley Road West and a 30-35 minute walk to Ibrox Stadium. Speaking of Ibrox, the station can get rowdy on match days, when the game has finished, so prepare for that.
Yes lovely area good for transportation to the new Queen Elizabeth hospital. Train coach and taxi all at the station area.
Would help if the station ticket office was open trying to buy monthly tickets is a hassle cause im forced to buy a single just to get into town to buy a monthly ticket causeing me to waste money
Definitely trains here... Albeit only every fourth one stops. Staffed only in mornings.
Good station for me getting home easy access and entry
Disgusting train station because its not accessible for people in wheelchairs or people with buggies. Go somewhere else.
