The teachers are very supportive of the students and their approach to teaching is commendable. Additionally, the staff members in the college are kind and helpful.
Great campus, I really like it here.
Came to do my course intreviw and test. It is big college you can get lost easy . Over all it is a 10/10
While I have greatly enjoyed the paid for evening courses which I have taken at Cardonald College Spanish 1 & 2, I am sadly unable to give the college more than two stars. Despite the fact that the courses the teachers and many of the ancillary staff have been excellent, I have experienced great rudeness and some serious failings of professionalism among some of the ancillary staff, coupled with a head firmly in the sand policy from both the Principle and the Vice Principle While I am in my seventh decade and not afraid to call to account those who need to be called upon in such a manner, I could not recommend this college to a young person or someone less able to stand up for themself. Posted with a heavy heart.
Very helpful for one in the community
I studied Skills For Life and Work here and I need to be honest, it done me no good, I was practically just learning the exact same stuff I was learning in school, even some stuff we already got taught. We had like 4 lecturers who actually cared about us and our work, the other staff members we just pure rude.
Children’s centre is located with the cardonald campus, my son go to this nursery and we are really satisfied and happy.Over all very pleasant environment.
I did 'Portfolio prep' course here a few years ago. At school I achieved an A for intermediate 2 art and an A for both higher and advanced higher art. People always complimented my work too until I was on this course. The course was mainly 'taught' by Mary Claire Logan. After a few weeks on this course i was unbelievably depressed, dangerously depressed. Hardly had any input from teacher and when I did it was that my work was wrong somehow. I remember doing a lot of work over a weekend and brought it to show Mary claire for guidance and she literally ripped out over 50% of my work and basically said it was fit for the bin. You'd spend days working on something to be told it was wrong. She had plenty of time for certain students. After months of constant working only 9 out of 50+ pieces of work were suitable in her opinion. This woman just hated me, I am also certain she turned her favourite students against me too. I dreamt of going to art school, I was certain I'd go to art school and after several months under Mary claire Logans 'professional' instruction i was severely depressed to the point I was suicidal. I remember walking down the road to college and feeling like I should jump off bridge into speeding traffic rather face that evil little witch. Nice cafeteria food but this teacher should be sacked before she pushes a kid over edge cos I was seconds from suicide cos of her.
Good college except for 1 or 2 staff who shouldn’t work in education i wish I got the guys name but i was in the 3rd year of my apprenticeship waiting for a friend to using the atm i was minding my business looking at posters when i was yanked out the que and accused of trying to gain access to his office to steal I thought he was kidding at first I argued my case told him i was no where near his door and there was a camera pointed at us if he wanted to check he asked me who i work for i told him and he came close in an intimidating manner and said quietly his friend was the head of construction in the college and he could get me the sack just like that i was in no position to lose my job and i know if i tried to take the case further I would most likely lose as i was a student and hes a lecturer and we all know who the college would believe
The lecturers and other members of staff were horrible, they don't even care if you got any learning difficulties or any other of your disabilities in order to progress onto the next level. I suggest never go to that college.
