New management has really improved this place! Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food was delicious and service was prompt. I haven't been back here in probably a year as it was always so inconsistent under previous management but pleasantly surprised at all the changes that have been made. Would recommendService: 5/5
The food here is truly special. Had the penne pasta for a starter and the Moroccan chicken for main. Superb flavours from the first to the last bite. The Chef here is a pro. Friendly staff and nice decor too. Went here for a midday working lunch but a cool place for any meal.Rooms: 5/5
Went out for a Christmas meal with friends from the street. Tables were poorly arranged not allowing enough space for people sitting on the bench seat to get in and out. The first course and pudding were excellent. We had to wait well over an hour for the mains and when they arrived the weren't the best. The Yorkshire pudding and stuffing were hard. The vegetables were just warm and not hot. Some of the party did not get what they ordered and just had what looked to be extra stuffing. If a mistake had been made I would expect the manager to come to the tables and explain and offer an alternative. Very, very poor. It seemed the staff were more concerned getting pizzas to customer's who came in after us rather than ensure our three courses came to us in a timely manner. Appreciate the really busy evening for the staff but that is no excuse. For myself not sure I would organise an evening out here.
Delux room included a mirror in the bathroom with Bluetooth speakers. Bed was ultra comfy and the heating provided a good night sleep. Room was decent for the price. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely visit again….. Bad parts, Hair dryer didn’t work No breakfast £5 Greg’s gift card One small bottle of shampoo and soap for two people. In all honesty hard to fault the place. Very satisfied.
Loved it! Food was cooked to perfection, drinks were lovely too. Staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home, will definitely be returning
Stayed a night. Arrived at 4.55pm to be told the outside door to the rooms was not working and we had to use the pub entrance. We stayed for a birthday celebration but we were told the pub would shut at 12.30. I said someone should be on the premises for people wanting to come in and out. Their answer was the management won't pay for that. The only way we could get out was through the emergency exit but that wasn't allowed. We were locked in and had to make sure we were back before pub shut. We felt we were dictated to on what time to be home. It seems this isn't the first time this has happened. Parking very difficult as it's on the side of the road. Room was very clean and large Only problem sink behind the door very difficult to get to. You bend gown to brush your teeth but hits the wall and then you bump your head on the shelf talking from experience Would I stay again "No"
the service was okay, bit slow especially on a non busy day. drinks took a while to come out after taking the order food shortly followed thankfully the pizza was delicious! they accommodated to our request to have a tomato base instead of bbq would recommend for a nice pub meal. 4*s Because the toliets were a bit untidy.
Great allergen menu, good service, pretty buzzing and busy for a Saturday night. Mark was an amazing and hilarious host. Hope to come back here again at some point. I had the battered halloumi and chips and I'm a veggie coeliac.
Great stay whilst exploring the stunning area of the Brecon Beacons and Cardiff. Horel was clean rooms were comfortable and had great decor touches. Food was generous and tasty. We also had our very first Greggs whilst being in the UK as we were given a voucher for breakfast Would definitely recommend!
Food here was nice but the staff were to busy to acknowledge us or show us to our booked table for about 15 minutes. Once seated we waited some time to order our food and drinks.
