If Wish did hotels.nnWe stayed here but at the hotel. What was sold as a vintage stay turned out to be anything but. For starters there is no car park as such, there is room for a few cars out the back of the building, be prepared to block each other in. The service was slow when ever anything was required focus was on the restaurant rather than staying guests. The room was poor quality, a mix of vintage and modern furniture. The pictures on the website were quite old as we found out. We will not be staying again
Such a lovely restaurant and hotel. We stayed the night here in a gorgeous spacious room which was very comfortable.nWe ate in the restaurant for dinner ordering garlic mushrooms and antipasti as starters and seafood pasta and lasagna for our mains. Food was delicious but the garlic mushrooms were exceptionalnService was lovely.nWe had breakfast included with our room which was served in the restaurant. It was a buffet including cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt selection, toast with Jan's & marmalade plus coffee and tea. All was very fresh and you could eat as much as you wantnWould recommend both the hotel & restaurant
Stayed for one night, nice spacious room, great breakfast. Parking space is way too small though.
Monday night was extremely busy so the waiters were rushed off their feet. They brought us bread and olives but it was difficult to get their attention to bring over the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Despite how busy they were, they were still smiling and very welcoming. I had the chicken liver for starters but I could see the hepatic vein mixed in with the liver, which was not very appetising. Still giving 5 stars because of the rest of the food though.nnLove the food at Caravelli's. Such a great deal on a Monday night too with the Starter and a Main for £18.95.nnWe indulged in dessert afterwards, but our stomachs were so full, we didn't need it . Delicious dessert though...I had the crème brûlée.
So happy to have found this place. Lovely family owned restaurant serving authentic Italian food. The pistachio and ricotta cheesecake to finish was SO good. Would definitely go again
