Had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with car care plan to settle a claim, gap insurance bought through Mercedes. Car was stolen. Claim is still ongoing and on the phone as I write. They are waiting confirmation from my insurance co to confirm settlement and circumstances of theft, after having sent them the insurance letter confirming payment and police report. Besides, the staff are rude and claim handlers are shielded by frontline staff. There’s no empathy, nor consideration of the circumstances people find themselves in. Very poor service and avoid as a plaque.

Be aware (small prints) - 9. Cancellation and Cooling Off period "We will not give You a refund if You have successfully claimed on Your policy", they also refuse to refund you even if you sell your car.. Fraud.

STAY AWAY FROM CAR CARE PLAN!!!!!! Utterly terrible customer service. They DO NOT CARE about the customer, they just try to get out of paying for the claim. 

I had two flat tyres at the same time. I used the spare wheel for one but I had to drive to the garage on the other flat tyre which meant it could not be repaired. There was no other way for me to get there but they claimed I should have paid for a recovery lorry to take the car to the garage so I could have the tyre repaired rather than replaced. Absolutely ridiculous!! They have decided not to pay out. 

STAY CLEAR!!!
