A very nice restaurant with a wonderful view on the Thames and a couple of minutes from the Tower bridge. The food is delightful and the portions are very generous. The staff are very friendly and very professional. An overall amazing experience.
We came here on a Friday night for dinner and drinks and it did not disappoint. Very attentive service. Almost too much really as we were chatting so much and we were never ready to order. Our waitress have advice on some recommended dishes and we thoroughly enjoyed them. My partner had the lasagne and I had the crab spaghetti linguine the special that day. Both were absolutely delicious! Desserts were divine also. The only thing that wasn't quite right were the main portion sizes of the mains. If you were wanting to leave full you'd definitely want a starter on top.
Really great place for the dinner date. We went there on Friday night and it was amazing. Outside seating area provides with great views on the city. Food was absolutely delicious, we had pasta from pecorino wheel which is served right at your table! Very nice and attentive stuff. Cherry on the top was a very talented Opera Singer!
Food was delicious, prices are reasonable and view is amazing. Couldn't ask for much more. I got the set menu which was £25 for a three course meal and that included a glass of prosecco or virgin cocktail. For the starter I had the batter calamari, whitebait and courgette. The courgette was especially good. For main I had the sea bream and broccoli which tasted so good! And the dessert I had the creamy orange creme brulee which was again really good. The only thing I didn't like was the virgin cocktail because it had quite a strong taste of tonic water. The restaurant is positioned near Tower Bridge and depending where you sit you can see it lit up at night. There is also seating outside which I imagine would be really nice in the summer.
On a recent visit from Liverpool to London we found this absolute gem of a place, beautiful location, we sat out on the terrace with the perfect view of the Tower Bridge. The food was amazing, the Burrata salad to start was so fresh, my husband got the Arancini with black truffle, these were the best Arancini we have tasted. We went for the Carbonara for 2 which came in a huge cheese wheel, it was then served up to us by the waiter after being tossed through all of the cheese, again, absolutely amazing. Our son went for the gnocci in truffle butter, this too was the best gnocci we have had We obviously all had to taste each others food We will certainly be returning to this place on our next trip to London.
Views - 5/5 riverside always gets top marks from me Service - 5/5 the staff are super friendly and helpful when you are as indecisive as I am Food - 4/5 tasty! And the presentation is stellar Would recommend & will definitely be heading back there
Popular Italian restaurant with lovely views of the river and Tower Bridge although as we had not booked ahead we were seated indoors. Food was full of flavour and well presented. The seafood linguini is recommended. Serving staff were friendly.
Spent a lovely few hours here on a Friday night recently with a group of friends. Great location, sat outside by the river on a warm late summer evening. Music operatic entertainment was amusing yet excellent at the same time. Food was tasty and the staff very attentive. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back soon!!
Cantina Del Ponte is an enjoyable Italian trattoria by the River Thames next to the Tower of London. Met up with friends and had the 3 course lunch menu and was better than expected. For starters we had Carpaccio di manzo which was pepper seared beef carpaccio with rocket & Parmesan cheese was very tasty. The Polenta e gorgonzolaV looked delicious and was an excellent vegetarian dish while the Hot smoked salmon, potato and beetroot salad was also deemed a success. For mains I had the vegetarian Risotto with radicchio & red wine which came out perfectly al dente. Another dish was the Garganelli al ragu’ di salsiccia, fresh garganelli pasta a flat, square noodle rolled into a tubular shape with Tuscan sausage ragout. Desserts included Espresso panna cotta and an Apple and raisin sponge which were perfect to finish off a meal. Look forward to coming back another time to try the a la carte.
One of the best views of London Tower bridge. Very polite staf, superb service. We stoped for drinks and desert. Espresso Martini superb. Tiramisu exceptional. Prices good. Will visit again to try is restaurant menu which looked very entising.
