Always a lovely walk few laps on cooler days, nice paths so you can use pushchair or wheelchair, park for children, various ice cream places and food/drink van. Always go to the farm shop for the best pies etc. Playground: The swings are adult friendly if you can get on them Restrooms: Rest rooms at several cafes, where you needs to purchase sausage rolls or cake, which is ideal as you can burn it off on the second lap. Dog-friendliness: Dogs welcome on leads on the path Picnic area: Picnic benches dotted about
Lovely place for a gentle walk round. Lovely Lake and grounds with woodland. The monster walk in particular is delightful. Loads more to see and do including visits to the house, farm and garden centre Also plenty of choices to sit and eat both indoor and outdoor.
Well maintained gardens and lake. Repairs taking place to the Hall so it is covered in scaffolding at present. Plenty of parking. Excellent cafés and also shops at the Farm Dog-friendliness: Cafés provide water. Lots of dogs, many not on leads
Only visited the pet plaque cemetery but I have been before and it was great. A good day out for all the family with a good café. You can go for free but if you want to see the animals it cost you. The hall itself and grounds are free for you to walk round.
First time I've been what a beautiful place to go if you haven't been great for family's well anyone who likes animals
Lovely park and great location to walk the dog. There is a monster trail in the woods for kids which is fun. Lovely gardens, ruins, ponds, water cascades and lawns. Good day out if the weather is nice. Playground: Nice playground with plenty to play with near the car park Restrooms: Inside the museum Dog-friendliness: Great for walks with the dog Picnic area: In the woods
Great place for a stroll. Circular walk around the estate, encompassing the walled garden, lakes, pools, follies, colourful flower beds, very cheeky, forward squirrels and geese, great quality wood carving sculptures abounding, lots of wicker dragons etc to be unearthed in the woods, boating lake, kids play area, dog friendly. Visited on a very grey day, so awww shucks, shall just have to revisit, ha.
Brilliant historic site to visit with something for all ages beautiful countryside walks and fascinating gardens, free admission into the hall too highly recommended
Great place to visit lots of parking space and only £1 for 2 hours. The ground are well maintained with good footpaths all around the park. Ideal for family lots of lovely picnic area. Small café near to the carpark. Lovely walks by the river or through the garden areas. Well worth a visit, a quick stroll or a day out relaxing, plenty for the kids to enjoy.
i absolutely love going for walks around here, mostly around the little river/lake/pond all same difference. me and my partner go a lot to feed the ducks, swan and geese. we don’t use bread we like to get actual duck/swan food and mix some chopped grapes into it and we makes sure to spread it out a lot so they aren’t all crowding and we don’t have any routine or anything just randomly do it. but anyways can’t remember ever paying for parking soooo …… it’s a very nice big area and great for picnics bring your own shade if needed there’s a few little water falls and it’s very pretty, enjoy some photos i took on my phone no edits just took them at the perfect time
