Had our first campervan conversion done by Cannon Campers a few years ago and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the finish and service provided by Richard and his team. The standard was beyond our expectations and eventually we decided to upgrade our van and have recently collected our brand new campervan which was also converted to the same high standard as the first one. Rich is always very welcoming and kept us up to date during the build and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend Cannon Campers and thank you to Richard, Phil and Jordan for building our dream van.
I had a van converted by cannon a few years ago, 2014. Initial impressions very good. However, fast forward to the present, and it seems we didn't get what we asked and paid for. Supposed to be leather seats throughout. What we got was fake leather. Which started to degrade badly. Started a while back, just after we had a pop top fitted by them, which they fitted incomplete and had to go back for adjustment, and missing carpet which they sent to me to do myself. Originally contacted cannon who basically suggested I go to a seat repairer that they used in 2014. Also the cabinet laminate is coming off from the frame in whole sheets. Its had no knocks or damage but looks like the adhesion has failed completely. Should this happen? I don't think so. Its past the time of recourse legally with trading standards sadly. So I'm left with a very sour taste in my mouth, and hefty repair bill. My advice, stear well clear of them. One star is too good.
Just picked up our new camper from Rich and the team and I've nothing but praise for them , from start to finish we've been kept in touch with the build. Van looks great.nWe chose the Trek option as we wanted a slightly larger bed quality rib bed as standardnwe added a night heater as we like to camp off grid at times webasto heater , again top qualitynPop top is a West Dubs , again standard and top quality.nLastly we travelled from Cumbria as the value for money was unbeatable.
Following a recommendation from a previous customer, I purchased my VW campervan from Cannon in 2019. From start to finish, the process was so smooth. Rich gave loads of useful advice built up from his years of experience in converting VW Transporters. The result was a campervan that has given us loads of great, hassle-free holidays in the years since. I've been back a few times for upgrades, and Rich and his team have always been super helpful.
Richard and his team did my initial part conversion back in 2015. Windows put in, new flooring, lights, insulation and VW leather seats, front and rear. 7 years on, and my wife and l agreed the new spec for a full campervan conversion with Richard today. The quality of Canons work is first class which is why we're back! If you're thinking of a full or part conversion l would honestly recommend these guys. Professional, honest and just nice people to work with.
