Every single healthcare worker was amazing to our family during our difficult time. The level of care is top rated. Your family members will be in good hands here.
They are organized and efficient, busy with each patient and understanding the whole package for the next appointment booked. If you're in a rush, the cc is a place where you want to practice patience with the new range of things that you are advised to learn.
your experience will depend on your oncologist, my mother wasnt so lucky and the lack of innovation, communication and care .. cost her her life it was really frustrating dealing with this hospital
My wife had 16 radiation treatments here & thankfully it was successful. Staff was excellent & prompt. Appointments were on time--no waiting! They also give you your preferred app't times re: AM or PM. Always busy as they have several radiation 'bunkers' thus treat well over 100 patients a day. NOTE: Most patients have 20+ radiation treatments thus hospital parking fees add up. There is free parking at the large Staples store lot just 1 block north of the entrance to the radiation ward.
Thanks to the volunteers with the tea and cookies who gave me someone to talk with. World class Facility and staff, feel lucky to have been treated here. My complex high risk thoracic surgery was a breeze for me at 47 yrs old. 2 rounds of chemo no problem they take your DNA & do magic radiation felt nothin until 21st round of 28 .....3 years later all good. Much love to everyone.
Information provided by the staff on the phone for the number of family that can attend appointments is not consistant with front desk staff. No compassion by front desk personnel when turning us away. Parking costs are expensive for long hours of treatments.
For the most part doctors, nurses and technologists offer professional, compassionate and competent patient care. All members of the team are extremely knowledgeable and patiently take the time to explain cancer and cancer treatment options. Reception workers are for the most part, under a lot of pressure and busy, but they don't lose their cool. Even the COVID screeners and security guards were lovely. Some health care workers were stressed and perhaps a bit short, but those were exceptions I can overlook. I was very confident of my treatment at the LRCP at every step along the sometimes intimidating and bumpy cancer trail, which I am still walking. With the help of the team, I have achieved a state of acceptance and calm. I extend my deepest gratitude and love to everybody at the Cancer clinic - I will always remember your kindness.
My Radiation Doctor L. Mendez has been attentive as well as his resident Doctor C. Goodman. The radiation tech nurses have been wonderful and the registration clerks very good with changing my appointments when necessary. Haven’t seen my Chemo Doctor Bertrand, only once after 1st treatment. How ever Chemo nurses on the most part, have been excellent. Had last treatment of Chemo yesterday. Got to ring the bell to mark my last treatment. Can’t wait til Friday, last Radiation, I get to hit the big china bong to mark last treatment. Best Cancer program around. If you have Cancer, this is the place to be!
While going through my cancer treatments and appts. I had the most amazing doctor Dr.Velker.I am so thankful for all that he did for me and made me feel at ease knowing he was very caring and compassionate. The nurses and staff at the clinic were also super and made things easier in such a scary stressful time.A+++++++ Thank you all!!!
When I went through treatment here everyone was amazing. I didn't have any bad experiences caused by the staff. They always helped to put my mind at ease and make sure I was comfortable. Sometimes the waits get a little long but when you consider why it's hard to be angry at them for having to treat so many people.
