I paid for and booked a car through their service, but there were problems with my card, so I couldn't take the car. Unfortunately, I could not find the option to cancel the order on the website. I filled out a contact form, but didn't get any response. So my money was just burned. I think that was the last time I used the services of this company.
I recently booked a ski holiday for February 2023 to Banff. Yvonne at Canadian Affair has been fantastic - quick communication, excellent knowledge of the area and what is possible and clearly an expert in her field. The booking process was incredibly smooth and I know if I have any questions Canadian Affair will have the answers.
Having returned from our holiday on 13July, we have contacted Canadian Affair several times to discuss the issues surrounding our delayed luggage and compensation for the inconvenience and distress this caused us for 5 days. Whilst on holiday in Canada we discovered that Canadian Affair do not have any local representatives in Canada and all issues have to be discussed via the Customer service department in the UK, and this is made extremely difficult due to the 8 hour time difference between the 2 countries. In short our luggage never left Manchester airport with us on our Air Transat flight Air Transat own Canadian Affair and we did not receive our luggage until we had been in Canada for 6 days. Canadian Affair are not interested in helping us recover our out of pocket expenses, we only had the clothes we stood in on arrival into Canada, or compensating us for our delayed luggage. In fact they blame Air Transat, although we had booked a package holiday back in late 2019, pre covid. Canadian Affair have had a substantial deposit from us since that time. We are still awaiting a response from the manager within their customer service department, and if I had known what I know now about the way Canadian Affair operate as a company and treat their customers, my advise to potential passengers/travellers is to use use a different company for your holiday.
Really smooth booking process and my group and I were all really impressed with how knowledgeable the team at Canadian Affair are. They knew the local area that we were booking for Banff, and had intimate knowledge of the hotel. The price was great, too!
I made 4 attempts to book a holiday last month with Canadian affair. As used once in past and very pleased. 3 x 45 minute phone calls to which no one answers, and you get cut offtried different times of day and also tried one of there “we’ll get back to you” emails. Sack your staff or get them to answer the bloody phone.
I booked my flight to Toronto with Canadian Affair and the whole process was seamless from start to finish. I’ll definitely be looking to book with them again when I next fly to Canada. Bravo, CA!
Unfortunately my ETA was out of date when I contacted Canadian Affair they were unhelpful in offering support. However, the service was good regarding getting flights organised.
Even though Avis will refund the money to Canadian Affair they won't pass this on to us even during these uncertain times. Disgraceful.
I had a small problem with a booking but it was resolved without hassle. Would recommend!
Refusing to refund any money despite the Canadian border being closed. No response to emails, and unhelpful on the phone. Very disappointing.
