This place really is splendid! What looks like just a barn from the outside, opens up into lavish accommodation on the inside. You have a plentiful area for bedding atop of a handcrafted and bespoke wooden structure. For cooking and eating alike it is better to move down to the lower level where you will find a seating system that would be right at home outside a good pub. A glazed window and a clever split opening door open out onto spectacular views of the opposing ridge line and the hope valley railway line have your binoculars and number book at the ready. Moving out of the bi folding door and to the right you find the annex which serves as a wash room as well as a utility area for anything you might need to clean while away here. Moving out of here and round to the north of the facility you’ll find the ablutions which are normal in every way. I visited this place for the first time about 7 or 8 years ago and have been back every year since; I really would strongly recommend it as a relaxing place to spend a weekend or even a full week.
One cannot expect to be more barny than that. It's a tiny house in the middle of a field, with a dry toilet. Your mattress will go on a large wooden box. The view from there is stunning, though.
