Really had a good experience in this shop . Bought a gold ring Celtic style to celebrate my vow renewals . Not only was the owner really helpful but he also gave my grandson a small Celtic silver ring for free . And to top it off he gave me a small silver thrupenny of one hundred years old to give my wife for luck . Would recommend this shop to anyone great service

I went in with a simple request..."do you have anything I can use to measure my girlfriends engagement ring finger". I didn't think this is an unreasonable request at a jewelers but ended up getting told no they only help out if your buying a ring from the store. I was just looking to buy a ring sizer or get some useful help in how I could know my girlfriends ring size to buy her a ring. Would have been happy to pay a small amount for getting some guidance. I started getting a lecture about how every ring is different and they only help if you buy a ring in store. I was honest too and said I was looking to buy online and I think I the guy didn't like this, immediately not willing to help if he isn't going to make a sale. And that there is why people like me a more willing to spend my three thousand £'s online. The worst though is that there was another couple in there speaking with different shopkeeper and when I came in they all went quiet and listened in, I'm guessing they all knew each other. Way to make a guy feel uncomfortable. Perhaps I wasn't dressed well enough being on my way to a haircut and the gym. Didn't think this should matter but hey. But from a review point of view, I went in with a simple request for help. They didn't help and I was made to feel uncomfortable so wouldn't recommend visiting this place.

If you want a totally professional and bespoke service from a jeweller then you can't go wrong with this shop. From first enquiry to completion of the sale we found them to be professional in all ways, very knowledgeable and honest. We were looking to have a gold wedding band altered to fit an unusually shaped engagement ring. We were given excellent guidance and when we decided to go ahead with the alterations we had 100% confidence that that guidance was the best we could get. Boy were we right. The new wedding ring didn't only fit the engagement ring they had resized and polished the engagement ring (we asked them to do this) and all was done for a price about 50% of what we had thought. SO much so we then bought another item of jewellery (another ring) and were told to wear it for a week or so until we are sure it was going to fit under all conditions and if it needed resized they would do that for us for free. I cannot praise the personal service we got and the feeling that we were a really valued customer. Yes, you can go into the multis but I can guarantee you were never get better customer service than you do in this shop. If you are in Fife (or anywhere within travelling distance) and are looking for jewellery, this is definitely your first stop.

An excellent service. Family run business that provides a personal touch not found in generic sales oriented retailers. Whilst waiting to speak to Chris I overheard a disussion with an elderly customer who wanted some rings cleaned. Chris discouraged the customer from chemical cleaning at a cost and instead polished them up for free. For my own consultation I was purchasing a rather important engagement ring. Having found some inspiration through a popular online retailers jewellry sale I explained the style of ring I was looking for. Chris took the time to explain diamond colours, clarities and grades showing comparisons from his own merchandise. He actually reccomended one particular ring from the online retailer as being a good deal within my price range. However, due to the quality of merchandise available and the service offered I chose a better, and slightly more expensive ring. Engagement after all, quality wins over cheapness. I received care and upkeep advice and an insurance referrel which was extremely competitive. As an aside, she said yes and loved the ring, and I am delighted at having gone with a unique item rather than a mass produced peice. My eternal thanks to Chris at AK Campbell for the help. Had I instead gone to a generic high street retailer I doubt I would have recieved the same experience.

This place may now have closed down. After buying a few small pieces from here I took my wife's engagement ring (inherited from her grandmother) here to get it resized and valued 1st they advised me to clean it myself prior to getting it valued otherwise I would be charged for cleaning it. When I reminded them I wanted it resized before getting it valued they lamented and decided they would clean it as part of the resizing work. Cleaning is something I've discovered that most high street jewelers will happily do for free. Now began the saga of actually getting the work done. The workshop is in their Kirkcaldy branch and apparently items are only sent back and fourth one day a week. So one week later we got the quote back for the work. The ring was sent back to Dunfermline with the quote so it now has to be sent away again to have the work done. A week later I went down to collect the ring. The residing had been completed but no valuation meaning it had to be sent away again. During this visit I asked if they could change the battery in my watch. They said they could do this in-house so I agreed and waited while they attempted to change the battery. After a while my watch returned along with an explication that they doubt have the right battery but after a couple of attempts had found a similar one that was working. As I was about to pay my watch stopped so they switched it back to the original battery... Finally a week later and the ring is back in resized cleaned and valued. I arrive in the ship and hand the claim ticket to Chris who I had been dealing with since the beginning and the same guy who faulted to change my watch battery the week before. He looked at the skip went into the back shop and returned a few moments later "It's your Mum's necklace yeah?" He asked "No it's my girlfriends grandmother's engagement ring" I replied "Ah OK. You can understand my caution you don't look like you should have this ticket" With that insult I paid and I left. The heftily proceed valuation gave no more detail than the scrap weight of the metal and weight of the diamond with no info on colour or clarity. Calling up to query this I was given figures and told he couldn't have written them in the valuation because he wasn't a member of the geological society and to get that level of valuation in writing it would need to be sent away again... This is one to avoid...
