Camp Hopson on the main pedestrian strip in Newbury town centre is a gem. Been in here a few times and always find something fresh. It’s a compact store but surprisingly packed with goodness and stuff. You will find some key concessions in here: Boss, Chanel, Jo Malone and Molton Brown becoming rare on the high street but in full force here.  Staff are friendly, not pushy and helpful. Browse at your own pace and explore the products. This is how it used to be and how it should be. Cafe on the roof terrace and the Home annex out back. If you are in Newbury it’s well worth a visit. Recommended.

Decent department store with some nice items. Can be a bit pricey for what's on offer, but that seems to be what they're aiming for - a touch of upmarket merchandise! The café is great and serves good food, which can be lovely when enjoyed on the balcony in the summer. Can often be queues, so bring your patient hat!

For many, many, years I have shopped at Camp Hopson making many purchases of products including, beds, furniture and carpets and have always enjoyed the experience and receive top notch service. Recently we returned to Camps to purchase some hard flooring. The sales person came around to measure up, once he was in we got the impression he just wanted to leave, but I guess maybe he had other visits to do. Anyway we purchased the flooring, by no means the cheapest but we liked their service.  The fitter arrived promptly, it took less than a day to fit This is important, as the fitting charge per day that we were charged calculated to over £100 per hour based on this duration. The fitter came and went. As I work from home I did not have an opportunity to inspect the workmanship until the evening. It was not great so I emailed the team at Camps pointing out the issues but this has been ignored. For what is supposed to be a top class establishment this is insulting and to be absolutely clear, the lack of customer care has left me not wanting to shop here again.

Some times it can be very slow process to place order for food but the most disappointing thing i see is a very uninspiring plate of lettuce leaf which is life less and limp on side of my plate with order of toasted sandwich, not too sure if it's only ment to add colour to plate or supposed to look appealing enough to eat but it does neither.... not even oil dressing! Would look more appealing with some sliced tomato and cucumber added in my opinion which is a small ask considering the cost of a toasted sandwich! Not impressed

Came here for Afternoon tea as a birthday treat by a friend. Can highly recommend. The staff were attentive and the restaurant is tastefully decorated.  Our only complaint was they are very slow at clearing tables. Would certainly return and recommend for any time of the day. There is also a seating area outside for warmer days

The restaurant is super friendly and the food is to die for! If the car park was not so intently trying to hand out tickets, it would have been a 5 star.

Really well laid out shop, great lighting with varied stock. A real asset to Newbury

Great store! Loads of make up counters, great selection of shoes and clothes! There is also a lovely cafe on the top floor!

Very impressive after-sales service from Camp Hopson Home. We discovered a fault with a piece of furniture bought on Saturday, and by early afternoon on Monday they’d already collected it, repaired it and returned it to us.

Just got 100 pounds penalty on a disable bay with a disabled badge and I didnot see any signs for disable people that things have changed in the last 5 years. And no one in the shops told me when I pay for my item.
