The place is alright itself and a lot of the staff is memorable too but some of the vice principals are unfair and downright rude and authoritarian. You get isolated for bad behaviour, politically correct as heck "adam and steve" pictures, used to have Trump mocking memes on the board and Mandela praised as a hero and the food was same every week. For a plus deserved the building itself, big but well also better than Pool Academy, however, low bar.
I am very pleased with how I progressed academically in this school. Teachers were kind and helpful while I was there. The push towards good grades helped me prepare for future jobs. For me, international opportunities at this academy distinguish this school from other local schools. The curriculum for STEM subjects was particularly stimulating, although I felt the arts could do with some improvement. The reason I knock off a star is because the huge push for academic success - particularly in the STEM subjects - can overwhelm students, and there is not enough emphasis on socialising and making friends a key component of growing up.
