We've been with this vets for years. It would be 5 stars of not for a genuine mistake which was dealt with sensitively and compassionately. Our beloved border terrier of 14 years was put to sleep here, and we now have a new cockapoo in our family, and continue to use this vets. They are professional, caring and helpful.
One thing about this vets the receptionists are LOVELY The out of hours veterinary nurse we saw early hours of the morning 22/11/23 for our dog Mabel, unfortunately I can’t say the same… quite frankly rude at times, and seriously lacked compassion. Sometimes offensive, saying remarks like “ ohh you’ll definitely get your moneys worth for insurance for a Daxie” like I just think that’s quite unprofessional, she was clearly insinuating my dogs would suffer with back problems later down the line, although IVDD is common in daxies there are plenty who live long lives without any back related issues, and although it is inevitable that one day rightly so we could, which we are aware of this… coming from an owner that does everything we possibly can to avoid this, we just found her attitude and facial impressions rather uncomfortable and offensive. She didn’t even once stroke my dog Mabel and say something like hope you get better or anything she was just rather a negative human being I have to say.. Hopefully she finds happiness as I do think this experience has tarnished my overall experience with this practice.
Just amazing, very friendly. We were on holiday when we needed an emergency vet due to our labrador catching a stone and smashing hes 2 Caine teeth and 3 others. Harry removed both Caine teeth and kept a close eye over the next week checking the stitches ect. Buzz is having hes remainder 3 teeth removed at our vets now back home. I honestly couldn't recommend this vets enough the love and care they give, very friendly, thank you all so much for taking car and looking after buzz, we made the best of what was left of our holiday and we all booked up again next year however I hope we do not have to visit you guys again but if ever a vet is needed call these guys as they are the best. Thank you again Harry hes gum has healed lovely and hes back to hes playful self. Mr & Mrs Coombes + Buzz. Xx
Switched from Vets4pets to calweton, took one cat to callington for emergency appointment, Kat was absolutely amazing as were the rest of the staff there, then another cat to Looe for medication appointment, Emma was absolutely amazing too, even down to the point of saying she'd give me a prescription, as we can get the medication cheaper online, best vets practice I've ever been to, thank you so much to both practices, friendly and helpful
Called to register pet, told too busy to take her on and should stay with existing vets , as getting appointments would be hard . ... then said try us in a month or 2 it might be better! Yes that sounds like something worth doing NOT ! terrible 1st impressions Phoned my usual vet - Ellis in Liskeard, as usual next day got appointment... sticking with what I know know works well Try Ellis vets instead
I was really worried about my beagle Bruce. The vet got him in as soon as he could. They acted very professionally, putting my mind at rest. My thanks to all of the staff.Bruce is back to his normal self again xx
Our first time with our little fur babies. It was a great visit. The vet was great. He explained everything and took his time to check our pups and gave them their jabs, and they didn't feel a thing. Thank you for looking after us and our babies.

Took one dog in to get weighed as he is a bit thin,vet checked, him the weight is fine. Yearly health check this week saw a different vet, no issues, advice on teeth, now our dogs have their teeth brushed daily. Excellent, thank you.
Very friendly staff and really helpful. I have always been satisfied with the care my cats and dog have received from here.
