Excellent!. Did the 1.5 hour trip. Amazing seacaves and coastline views. Saw seals, a Minke whale and lots of birds. The boat is fast, a bit of spray at times but they give you waterproofs to wear. Recommended.
Absolutely amazing experience! A great trip with a fascinating mix of geology, sea life, history. The guide is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain no rush. Highly professional and high safety standards. Absolutely recommended to do when traveling north east Scotland!
Brilliant experience with Caithness Seacoast from initial contact to the tour itself. Experienced and knowledgeable hosts made us feel very welcome and increased our knowledge of the area and most of all kept us safe. Sharing the experience with a couple of elderly ladies in their mid 80s with some mobility limitations wasn’t an issue for the crew. Lots of help getting them on and off the boat as well as help getting them kitted up with all the waterproofs. The 90 minute tour south itself was brilliant. Bob, the tour guide was immensely knowledgable about the wildlife, the Geology of the landscape and the local historic fishing settlements that once inhabited the coves and bays of the coastline. If your a local or a one off visitor it’s an essential excursion to do regardless of age, children will love everything about the trip as well. 100% recommended. Hope to be back in Caithness soon and will book up for the North trip as well. First class Caithness Seacoast team, well done.
Just one word wow!!!!! What an amazing place to go and visit, would highly recommended. Only a short walk from the carpark which is a good size with stunning views over the coast. There is great information provided about the history about the castle. Soo glad we managed to get down to see.
Unbelievable experience. Amazing staff. Brilliant tour going south. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommended!
This experience was absolutely incredible. We were the first trip this year and were treated to great weather and calm seas. The way back was bumpier and fun, but the journey to Whaligoe was very relaxing and breathtaking. The geological and natural features of the tour were intermingled with local history, humour, and a norse language lesson for many of the local places and their names. The entire trip was one great big smile. From start to finish, you are looked after, treated warmly, and come out the other end having learned something with a great big smile on your face. Worth every penny and more. Do not miss out on this trip if you have the means and are anywhere near Wick. Whether you are a local or a tourist, this trip must be done at least once. Thank you guys, we'll be back to do the North route next time.
My wife and I took our 3 kids on the hour and a half trip. You go out on a fast rib that can take 12 people. We were taken south towards the Whaligoe Steps, however, there are other tours that they offer as well. We got to see some fantastic views along the coast including, ruined harbours, the Whaligoe Steps, some massive sea caves and many, many birds and seals. It was a brilliant trip out and we'd do it again.
We booked the 30 minute trip as a taster to see if we would like it and soon as we finished, we booked the 1h 30 min trip for the next day. Great mix of fun boat ride, stunning views you can't get any other way, history and adventure into caves. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and all the wild life. Would highly recommend to anybody going and old.
The crew made the whole experience a delight. We felt safe and well cared for, and Bob's local knowledge and good humour was the icing on top of a wonderful trip.
My wife and I traveled to Scotland in May of 2023. While in Wick we took a boat trip along the coast, visiting caves, historical sites, etc. The Owners were EXCELLENT in in their expertise as guides! We had an engine problem early, but they made every effort to give us a successful trip. I have been in touch with them in the past month, and told them that we plan to get back there for another trip.
