We absolutely loved it here. My daughter had so much fun. She played on loads of the machines, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. Will definitely go back. There was parking directly opposite too.
Great arcade! They have a new StepmaniaX SMX cabinet, which is quite rare to see in the UK these days. It's glad they are purchasing actual video games and not selling out on redemption like most seaside arcades these days. Hats off to them. The poor owner chap was stressing over chavs climbing on his arcade roof and also messing with the machines, so that was a bit annoying to witness. Perhaps there is nothing going on in Herne Bay for youngsters? I have no idea to be honest. Other than that, we had a good time here
Had the best time ever here after so many years of not being to an arcade! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We had planned to be there for 30 mins max but ended up spending 3+ hours here! 2p machines were great! The tickets kept on coming and we went home with a lot of goodies which made it so worthwhile!!! I’d definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Cains amusements is probably one of the last seaside amusement arcades that actually give you play value. The 2p machines actually pay out a decent amount for you to have a reasonable time playing and win a few prizes!!! I won the jackpot several times there and have included the jackpot prize I won. A Duke Caboom deluxe stunt set!!! Genuine review I am not associated with the business!
Myself and my 7 year old and our dog! had a great time at this arcade. Loads of fun games for the kids and one extremely kind member of the team made my daughter's and my day when he saw her crying because she didn't win a prize on one of the machines. We will definitely be back. It felt like good old fashioned fun in a welcoming and friendly, family-run business. You don't have to spend loads either as there are lots of 2p machines that the kids like. Bring cash before hand though as the machine in the arcade charges £1.50 for withdrawals.
Dog friendly! The staff here are lovely people, helpful when the change machine runs out or prizes get stuck. They love dogs too, keep treats around just for our furry friends. They're also community minded and inclusive. There's a full range of amusements here, definitely something for everyone.
We enjoyed a lovely 'Mr Whippy' type ice cream from the ice cream kiosk within Cains Amusements which faces onto the road. It would appear most places in the area charge £2 for this type of ice cream, no longer a '99. There was a variety of 'Marshfield Farm' scoop ice cream flavours available, along with candy floss and the like. Only observation; the server was wearing some form of disposable gloves, but I question how long he had be wearing them? And what he had touched etc before he handled our cones? Just a thought...
Had so much fun here. Got absolutely mugged off by a 2p machine tho, kept flicking my coins all over the place, a few even went into the machine next to mine and knocked them down, luckily there wasn't anyone on it so i claimed it as mine, which technically it was. The beach is just right outside and it's just and all round nice place.
It has a lot of ticket machines, the kids love this place always busy at weekends, you can buy soft drinks and icecreams.
Absolute scam! Machines are rigged claws on grabber machines have been bent. Don’t go here unless you want to see your kid’s disappointed
