I was excited to find a Indian restaurant which has a vegan menu. Ordered a takeaway had a tofu dish and chicken dish obvs for a meat eater and was surprised to be charged more than a couple of quid more for the vegan dish. Was told when I mentioned it the vegan menu is not on the takeaway menu? Confusing as you provided it..see photo for the very small portion which cost over £10 vegan tax at it best!
Beautiful restaurant with a great choice of dishes, the Goan king prawn curry was just stunning. The service was really attentive and helpful and the choice and quality of mocktails was some of the best I’ve ever had. We visited on a live music night and the atmosphere was really enjoyable.
This is one of the best restaurants around, we have been coming here for years and the food is amazing. Not only the food but the staff are superb, Mo who runs this restaurant is a true gent and goes above and beyond to make your evening a special one. We have just had our Christmas works party here for the second time and the whole team loved every minute. Keep up the good work guys and we looking forward to seeing you again very soon
I booked the Simla for 55 of our staff. I cannot fault these guys. The staff and the food were absolutely fabulous
Free parking. Nicely decorated venue. Great customer service. The food was ok, nothing particularly special, I went for a lamb curry and there was no flavour at all.
This was our first visit, and it was probably the best Indian meal I have ever experienced. Every dish was cooked and presented to perfection. The rice was perfect a good test of a restaurant's quality, and I have never tasted peshwari nan so utterly delicious! The service was excellent, despite how busy it was. Every member of staff was efficiently attentive and made us feel welcome. My husband remarked that the men's 'facilities' were good and clean. I only have two slight reservations. Firstly was that for us the cavernous dining room was too noisy and echoing, however the waiter Tee patiently gave us excellent advice on the best days and tables to book for a quieter experience. Secondly we were not given a vegan menu or drinks menu, so we may have missed out on a wider choice of dishes we're pescatarian and didn't know about the impressive looking mocktails until it was too late. Still, that's something to look forward to next time. Thank you for a great meal. We'll be back!
Made a great nights dinner. Want to mention Tee for his excellent service and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone else in need of outstanding food! The sesame cauliflower was spot on! Very good ambiance in the restaurant and would definitely return. Parking: Plenty of parking
Lovely restaurant and polite staff who made us feel welcome. Drinks were great and food was very good also. Little more expensive than a regular takeaway but you pay a premium for better food. Would go back againRecommended dishesLamb Shank
What a great evening we had on Friday. It was my first time visiting The Simla and Zenna Bar and most definitely won’t be my last. Everything was fantastic from the warm welcome we received from the host and his team, to the quality food and service, followed by the live singer and cocktails in the Zenna bar at the end of the evening I couldn’t fault a thing. I’d highly recommend a visit.
Great food, painfully slow service. Took over 2h just to get starters and main. After the starters were taken away someone came to to table and asked if we had had our starters yet. Lovely place but staff need to be more attentive. After the mains were taken away I asked for the bill and that took just over 30 min.Food: 5/5
